Eventually, everything starts to fall into place and a big mature bull hits the ground. This was a dream hunt and one Erik will remember for a long time.

They are places the general public can see it without all the extra needed effort to hunt, just weekend trip. I’m lucky born with a mtn front. I turned 40 this past January and been bow hunting elk for 14 years. There is nothing better than being stuck in the middle of 100+ elk and the bulls bugling and slamming antlers together. Man I can just watch them and not even worry about trying to send an arrow through the vitals. I love to hunt and elk are my favorite chase. Only started bow hunting because that’s when they’re turned up prime and screaming all day. Only in September, always watched from afar til I got the bow now my elk addiction is taken hold of me and Im hiding 10 yards away. Cows farting in 10ft bubble and calves licking my boots. Closest kill was 6 yards because I picked a good spot on an escape route. It is scary I still get scared when they’re that close.

That looked AWSOME!!!! I can't hardly wait for my hunt! It is a new area for me as well. Horses and {luckily} help to recover the animal will be available. Wish me LUCK I need it! The best part is having Elk all around bugling at each other....love it!!
