Thankyou SO MUCH!!! Just purchased a Dremel Lite and the bits that came with it couldn't even fit! Nothing in the instructions explained any of this, so thankyou! 🙏😊

Thank you for not wasting my time with patronising safety instructions. Anyone who wears safety gloves using a dremel shouldn't be allowed out.

I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. kzfaq.infoUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.

This video was wonderful for me to understand the mechanics. I lost the wrench that came with it and I just was able to figure out how to change bits via your video. You just saved me so much time and money and now I can get to my bamboo art! Thank you so dang much. I searched many videos, this one rocked, great video. Very authentic!

Thanks for showing this basic info for beginners.....I like it when you take us from the very first step...I have had a dremel for a long time and never use it, and every time I take it out, I have to re-learn, because it all becomes greek to me ........thanks for keeping it simple.....

You saved me. I got a harbor freight brand dremel and didn't know what this part was and couldn't get the polishing wheel on. I had to change this part. It came with several. Pretty good deal for $7 for their dremel and accessories.

Thank you! Yes...Dremel should add something to the packaging that says 'you will also need...' crafters hate pauses! May Amazon be extra swift.😂

Thank you so much! This explains everything! I bought a Black and Decker Rotary Tool today at a yard sale but it came with only a few bits. Was missing a lot and I couldn't figure out why the few attachments it came with wouldn't attach. It turns out at first I wasn't using a collet. So I found the one collet that it had and the bits still weren't altering with it. I think the collet is a little too small. I'll go look and find a collet kit along with other attachments since I need a sanding wheel because the only reason I wanted this is to trim my dog's nails easier. Watched several videos which didn't explain what I needed then to explain before I found yours.

Finally a video that actually answered my question!! One needs to buy a collett kit so she (me) can use the drill bits I bought! Wish I knew that at the store, but then it was a quick decision to grab a Dremel in the first place. Thanks for the video!!

Collets are a real PIA to deal with, for bit changes of different sizes, you're much better off buying a Dremel Keyless chuck, will take ALL Dremel bits, and you tighten with your hand no wrench is needed..

This Saturday (March 20, 2021) I will start my adventure working with Dremels. This video is exactly what I was looking for introducing me to what a collet was, and how to exchange them out. Even more importantly it was the first video that came up suggested. A++ Grade for the presentation. Question to group: How well do the smaller drill bits hold up over time?

If the collet stops gripping gently & safely spread the 4 Forks with a razor. Then, use a thin sanding disc or thin sandpaper to enlarge the gaps. Just be patient & careful not to break the forks

I can't get the nut off to put a collet on...any help???It just spins and spins won't stay tightened, won't come off.
@tastydiane4 жыл бұрын
You have to depress the button while you use the tool (which will lock the nut in place) thus giving you the tension you need to loosen the nut. I hope that helps! 😀

I don't know why Chinese bronze collet are bigger than the steel original collets of the dremel. I bought a Chinese set and they doesn't fit. The neck of the collet is too thick. Maybe they are an imitation of a old dremel model. I can't find the original neck size anywhere on the internet. I will just stop being cheap and buy the original collets by dremel.
