I switched to the carnivore diet for 2 weeks. Here's what happened.
INFORMATION ON METABOLOMIC TESTING: www.drtsoukalas.com/new_patie...
Recommended Olive Oil: sanmicheleorganic.com/product...
0:00 Introduction: What happened when I tried the carnivore diet for 2 weeks
0:40 What do you eat on a carnivore diet?
2:21 Vitamin C on the carnivore diet
4:08 Metabolomic testing
5:30 Will Dr. Berg continue the carnivore diet?
In this video, I’m going to share my opinion of the carnivore diet after following it for 2 weeks. Not everyone does well on the same diet, so it’s important to experiment with different diets to find the right one for you.
Many people do very well on the carnivore diet! The carnivore diet can be very helpful for people with gut issues and autoimmune conditions.
While on the carnivore diet, I ate beef, pork, eggs, seafood, shellfish, and dairy. I discovered that I had been experiencing bloating due to my nut consumption. I didn’t experience any energy changes because I already have high energy.
For the first few days, I didn’t have any bowel movements. This was probably because my gut microbes needed to adjust.
Some people wonder about vitamin C intake on the carnivore diet. When you go on the carnivore diet, your need for vitamin C decreases.
I do not plan to continue the carnivore diet. I will continue eating the same proteins along with salads made from high-quality ingredients. I’ll also consume fermented vegetables like sauerkraut, kimchi, and pickles.
I love to add extra virgin olive oil, parmigiano reggiano, nutritional yeast, and feta cheese to my salads. The calcium in cheese binds to any oxalates that are in your salad, removing them from the digestive system.
I’ll also add berries to my diet, but I won’t be eating any nuts!

I started the carnivore diet I was just diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, pre-type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. I was so sure I was about to die and honestly, I probably was. now 7 months later I have lost 70 lbs, all the Parkinson's symptoms have gone away, and I'm off all my blood pressure meds, I've bought a bike and I ride it every day. I am now on a mission to get in the best health I can get to. So did it work for me, yes.

2 year carnivore here. I’ve lost over 500 lbs (yes, not a typo!). I agree diets are not one size fits all. For me, carnivore works! Being 800lbs is restrictive. Eating meat only has freed me from thinking about food 24/7, cravings, i now have an off switch. Food is no longer the highlight of my life. I now have a life. It’s not for everyone. But for me, I feel better now in my 50’s than I did in my 20’s! I weigh less now too! :)

Lindy, I've been following you for quite awhile, with Bella and the SBG. You have an amazing story, and I just subbed to your channel. During my 1+ year Carnivore journey, I've watched many different channels and have followed Dr. Berg for quite some time, too. I'm so glad that he is open-minded towards Carnivore. I noticed for some time that he was meat heavy, so while seeing this video was not a surprise, it is very pleasing to see his perspective. If anyone sees this comment, I hope they go a step further to go check out your channel and Bella's channel. Watching her channel helped me as I began my Carnivore journey, and I still quite enjoy it.

62yr old retired RN, been 90% carnivore x10 months ( very occassional seasonal fruit, some fermented veggies, some honey) with great improvements; lost 30 lbs, weaned off bp meds, no more gerd, L knee pain resolved, sleeping better, tons of energy, improved mental clarity. Haven't felt this great in decades...never going back! We are not as individual as we think we are. Humans have had the same anatomy and physiology we have always had. What changed was our obssesion with carbs, deceptive marketing and all our "franken-foods". Give it a try for 30 days and see how YOU feel. ❤

I've been carnivore for over five months. I reversed fatty liver, diabetes, no more diverticulitis attacks, no more bursitis no more bleeding gums, I can breathe through my nose while exercising. I've lost over thirty pounds from size 16 to 8/10. I just got my blood work results back and my Dr said I'm perfect and don't stop what I'm doing. Carnivore saved my life.

Ken Berry and how to do it right. It's super simple and the best!! There's a whole community of us out there 😊 Forgot about toilet. Dr. Berry speaks on that as well, but my gut issues left on the 3rd day and I go probably 1 to 3 x weekly just fine. My cousin had constipation, but it's something she always struggled with and Magnesium should take care of that problem.

I've been on the carnivore way of eating for about 18 months now. It has been life changing for me. I was diagnosed with Psoriatic and Rheumatoid Arthritis, as well as Fibromyalgia and Hashimotos Disease over the last three decades. I've lost nearly 70 pounds but I consider that a bonus to everything else that has happened. I'm now off all medications and all of my inflammation markers are now normal. I feel like I'm getting my life back. I will never go back to eating the Standard American Diet again. I'll stick with Carnivore....I don't miss salads....I miss the dressings I used to drench them in.

My wife had colon issues for 7 years. Her stomach was is pain everyday. She couldn't sleep well. Her knees hurt. She had low energy. She was losing weight so bad. She was in her 20s by the way. Not very old. I took her to doctors and they gave her medicine. It didn't help. We struggled with this for 7 years. I didn't think it would ever go away. I was praying one day and God dropped this into my heart to let her go all meat for a few weeks... That same week she slept like a baby. Knees quit hurting. Her colon didn't hurt again. I was amazed. It has been 33 days now and has gotten way better. She is still healing in her bowels but she's 90% better Thanks doc for sharing what you have learned over the years.

I'm happy to see you shedding some light on carnivore. I'm one that only had minor results on keto, but when I went carnivore even my toughest decade-long issue was reversed three months in. I was really suffering for years, including extreme bloating (by evening I looked 11 months pregnant and had pain into my shoulders and back), 10 years of nothing but liquid stools with bits of undigested vegetables, extreme exhaustion, frequently out of breath, frequent periods of my head feeling weird, lots of pain, and many more physical symptoms. I had also been struggling with mental health issues for decades, diagnosed bipolar II in 2002, and had near-constant depression and debilitating anxiety. I've been carnivore 2 1/2 years now and as long as I stay carnivore EVERY physical AND mental symptom stays gone. Carnivore is hands down the best thing I've never done for myself, and I can't help thinking of all of the people out there with similar issues to mine who might find relief eating this way. You have such a large following that I'm especially thrilled to see you do a video on it, and I hope that you occasionally do more.

Most of my issues resolved within the first month or so, but one particularly bad one took a full three months to get better.

50 year old male. Was on SAD diet my whole life then Vegan diet from age 46 to 48. Felt like I was dying and two years ago at age 48 started the carnivore diet. I feel the best eating ribeye, ground elk, ground hamburger, eggs, bacon, butter, salt, San Peligrino, and two cups black coffee in the morning. So that’s all I eat. I reversed these health issues. Pre diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, lost 70pounds, brain fog, depression, anxiety, joint paint throughout whole body. I started keto through learning from Dr Berg and felt great but quickly switched to the carnivore diet and feel even better.

Something that I appreciated about going carnivore almost two years ago is that by consuming only meat as a discipline, one eliminates SO much processed food. That alone strengthened my body in so many ways. No processed grains, no seed oils, no sugar, because all of these categories of food were no longer in my shopping cart OR my now-balanced body. The mental fog is gone. That took two weeks. Joy appeared, and I didn’t even have to pursue it. The time that I used to spend shopping for and preparing food was diminished. Less dishes to wash and less left-overs filling my fridge. Good fresh meat, quality salt and plenty of water set me on a new path to great health. Sixty pounds of my old self is gone, never to return. Two weeks is not long enough, Dr. Berg. And it makes sense to start out with just beef and salt, then add other things like chicken, fish, and cheese to see how you react. Found out that I do best eating once a day until I am full, then fasting for 20-24 hours. Life-changing!

I tested it for 60 days straight, no cheating. My hair became thicker and grew. My nails were the longest they have ever been. I had NO bloating-I didn't realize I was constantly bloated. I had NO desire to snack AT ALL. I lost no weight, but I lost 19 inches. I think I was satiated. I noticed that rib-eyed steaks were most satisfying, When I ate chicken or seafood, I was not as satiated. I did notice, I only went to the bathroom every Tuesday. I stopped after 60 days as I am a fruit and veggie lover. I think during winter months it would be best for me so I won't miss my summer fruits and salads.

Dr. Berg was the very first channel I found in December 2021 when searching for information on the Keto diet. Dr. Berg explains things in a way that makes it easy for anyone to understand which helped me get going on my nutritional health journey. I then found a handful of other channels that are also wonderful and have been very beneficial as well. I did amazing on Keto for about 6 months then began slipping off the wagon. I am about to begin my second week of Carnivore and for me I find it much easier because of the stricter limitation on what I eat. I found on Keto it's easy to fall into the Keto snacks and other foods being marketed as Keto when they truly are not while I was trying to find replacements for my favorite foods. For me, on Carnivore those simply are not an option which I find helpful. The more I learn the more angry I become because so many people are suffering unnecessarily especially here in America. Thank you, Dr. Berg for the part you play in saving lives by helping people understand how their bodies operate.

Love your update on the carnivore trial. I have been on it for 1 1/2 years and it has been extremely revealing as to do's and don'ts. Red meat and dairy seem good but eggs pork and shell fish are not. Love sauerkraut and pickles in small doses. I knew you would eventually try it and I'm glad you found a nut issue. Eat what works for you but always be open to possible reactions. Best content love you for years now. Must be like 7 plus years following you, Maybe more👍

I'm just another smiling happy carnivore (7 mos. +) eater. I will never go back to eating any veggies of any kind. Glad to see you give it a try Doc. 2 weeks is just the beginning of the benefits. Anyone not already on clean keto should take about 2 weeks to go full carnivore to let your gut get used to it. The first thing to do is get rid of processed food of any kind and all seed oils and work your way up to full carnivore. I was clean keto for years and went straight to full carnivore so I had no issues with the change. I don't have a gallbladder and had to get used to eating a lot of fat. A little constipation at first but just kept increasing the fat till everything came out fine. Also you didn't mention salt intake. I had to really up my salt intake to get my energy on track. You, Doc, have been keto for so long that you can see benefits right away but anyone not in that group should give it about 90 days to see what it can do for you. I for one am a committed carnivore forever. Oh, and by the way, did I mention i am almost 75? Feel the best of my life. Much more active and no more brain fog in the morning as wall as off 3 blood pressure meds. as well as cutting back on anti inflammatories as well as I am never hungry. No cravings. Good eating y'all!

My wife and I have been on carnivore for 14 months. Over 100lbs weight loss combined. The biggest and most substantial change was with my wife and her food addiction to sweets and carbs. After about 6 weeks on the WOE she says they just went away. This is a woman that has been on diets her entire adult life and even had gastric bypass 15yrs ago. We are so blessed to find this WOE, even in our 50's.

I have eaten a carnivore diet for about 9 years now. Going carnivore was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The carnivore diet has completely cured my acne, my skin now looks amazing, my performance in the gym has skyrocketed, I've lost all excess body fat, and I have incredible energy all day long. The diet is super simple and super easy. I just eat meat, poultry, fish, salt, and water. I don't eat anything else and I do not eat organs. I don't intentionally intermittent fast (although it tends to happen naturally), I don't restrict how much I eat, and I don't spend crazy amounts of time working out. I eat as much as I want, whenever I want, and always stay at my optimum weight. I have experienced no downsides whatsoever from this way of eating. That being said, I 100% agree that everyone is different and there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to diet. Thank you for this video, Dr. Berg, it's nice to see the carnivore diet getting more attention.

no downsides after 9 years? you can't be very self aware then. we aren't carnivores. it's gonna pop up somewhere. we are a frugivore species, that "one size fits all" thing actually works. like with every other species. the only difference is, after millenia, and decades of poor habits, it will take about a decade to fully transition to our natural species specific diet, for a lot of people ; and that's if it's done right.

@@saszablaze1 It seems you have been misinformed. Humans have spent about 99% of our existence as a species as hyper carnivorous apex predators, almost exclusively eating animals. This is widely accepted within paleoanthropology, which is the scientific study of human evolution. It wasn't until about 10,000 years ago, during the agricultural revolution, when humans started consuming significant amounts of plants. However, our genetics have not changed in any meaningful way in the last 100,000 years. So, by the theory of evolution, humans are carnivores. This fact can also be seen in human physiology and anatomy. For instance, the cecum is an organ in the body that is necessary for the digestion of plants, but it is not necessary for the digestion of meat. Herbivores typically have large and well developed cecums whereas carnivores typically have small and poorly functioning cecums. Humans have one of the smallest and least functional cecums in the entire animal kingdom. Another example is human stomach acidity. Stomach acidity is highly correlated to species-specific diet because the acid is responsible for breaking down and digesting the food you eat, and plants are best digested at a different pH than meat is. Herbivores typically have a stomach acidity of about 4-6, omnivores typically have a stomach acidity of about 1.5-3.5, and carnivores typically have a stomach acidity of about 1-2. Human stomach acidity is typically about 1.5. As you can see, human stomach acidity perfectly aligns with the idea that humans are carnivores. Our anatomy also demonstrates this. Carnivores tend to have their eyes at the front of their face whereas herbivores tend to have eyes to the sides. Humans, like carnivores, have our eyes at the front. There is also clear ecological evidence that humans are carnivores. Humans are blatantly the top of the food chain. We are the most dominant apex predator that has ever existed by far. No other species even comes close. Being an apex predator is defined by two things: first a lack of natural predators (humans have none) and second the ability to kill and eat other species. Humans are so good at killing and eating other species we literally have to put laws in place to prevent ourselves from hunting other species to extinction. We even have to do this with species that are themselves considered apex predators, such as lions. This demonstrates how far above any other species humans are on the food chain. None of this is to say that everyone needs to go on a carnivore diet, that eating plants is terrible for everyone under all circumstances, or even that there aren't benefits to eating some kinds / amounts of plants. For instance, cats are carnivores yet they can benefit from eating grass. Similarly, wolves are carnivores and they can benefit from eating berries. But, to say humans are not carnivores is to deny basic principles of biology and a very significant body of evidence.

So many people filling their own world and the world of everyone they love with more animal abuse, more needless suffering and death just to pretend they need to feed like lions or some other creature that actually needs to devour animals in order to be well even though there is objectively no such thing as a physiological human carnivore... So heartwarming... Such progress humans are making... They really are getting in touch with their peaceful and loving "higher natures" and their basic biology/physiology and not confused at all... What could go wrong... ;-)

Two weeks on carnivore is a good start, but I would suggest a longer trial to really begin to realize the benefits of this way of life. I ate the Standard American Diet for the first 64 years of my life. The past 3+ years I've been a carnivore. There is an entire laundry list of ailments (physical, mental, emotional) that have been alleviated/eliminated since going carnivore. The best part is that every once in awhile, I will notice that something else that has bothered me for decades is no longer and issue, and I can add it to that long list.

Let your body tells you what is good for you. That said, sometimes one doesn’t realize why they feel a certain way and think it is normal. I experience brain fog in the mornings and though CPAP is helping my stopping breathing at night (less incidences), I still never wake up feeling “I’m ready to go”. I've had plenty of energy, lost a few (20 ish) pounds and feel great. I still have some body fat to shed, but I feel this way of eating has really helped me get over the roadblock I experienced last year. I had been doing intermittent fasting (18:6) for the majority of 2023, I had good results but then my weight rebounded and no matter what I tried it just wouldn't come back down. I decided to give carnivore a try, and in the past 2.5 months it has really gotten me over the hump.

The only problem I had was that I still craved snacks; and there are many Keto treats whether from the Health food store or home made. 5 months ago I started carnivore, and immediately, less than 24 hours all my snack cravings were gone. I lost 20 lbs in two months and now my weight is what it used to be in high school. I feel amazing, have had several other minor health issues disappear. Hey Dr Berg, I’ve been fairly steady with the carnivore diet for a few months. I’ve been doing Keto for about a year. I fall off the wagon every once in a while and boy do I feel it! It’s very comparable to a hangover. Same symptoms. Being on carnivore has been a real breakthrough for me in many ways. It is rigorous and my cravings to cheat are almost continual. I’m about 75% steady and clean on it. Tending toward veggies and rice or beans and occasional sweet. Rare. Improvements have been less vertigo like symptoms I’ve had off and on for years. Less shaky hands. Improved mood and happiness. Oh and I’ve lost 40 lbs and it’s super easy for me to keep it off. I think my gut health is better. Quite regular and no feeling of bowel irritation. Way less inflammation. When I get up in morning if I’ve been steady beef for a week and not much else, I begin to feel like Superman and joints and muscles are good and most notable those first steps to bathroom and putting on my socks in the am. When I start feeling like this I consider I can deal with some carbs and the inflammations trigger within hours and definitely feel next morning. It’s been a journey and a beneficial one. I tell others about my success but don’t push them. Cheers and thanks for the great advice you’ve given me and others for years.

I also love fruits and vegetables and feel amazing when I eat them. When I tried eating more red meat just because of the studies about the nutrition, I became constipated…..something I never deal with. So as you said, there are genetics and other factors involved. Thanks for all the work you do and share with your audience.

Possibly a craving for red meat means you need the nutrients, unlike a sugar or junk food craving. Over cooking red meat makes it harder to digest, especially a big steak, ground meat way easier, medium rare or rare is ideal, and I would like to see Dr Eric do a video on the science of chewing your food properly, I believe that would take health and nutrition to next level.. but if your healthy, on no medication and happy then you’re doing it right mommabear..

I did it for 2days. I ate only steak on the 1st day. On the 2nd day ate the same steak in the afternoon and went out with my family for dinner in a restaurant, I bought them food and let them eat. I didnt even want to touch anything. I just watched them eat. 😂 The cravings were gone.. im not even feeling hungry. The bloating is gone as well. The only problem with this WOE is i do get very very skinny very fast if i dont eat any carbs.. i want to be healthy but i still want to look good and not look sick.

Elaborate why is that. Because my biggest issue is my sweet tooth cravings. I know how to limit it on certain diets....but the days I go super no carbs or sugar, I still have those cravings. As far as I know...based on what I see, the Keto diet doesn't seem too off from this carnivore diet that he did...just not much salads and stuff. So I'm confused how that took away your sweet tooth cravings and stuff.

@@madj7152Yes! Between being in ketosis where fat is used as fuel, fasting, AND exercising daily, we can lose too much fat. Women, for example automatically need a slightly higher fat percentage according to our biology. We can't get as lean as men Being too low fat can mess with our hormones and have a lot of negative health effects. Plus some people are just so naturally slim that they have the goal of eating more food just to gain weight.
@estherruth4692

@usernameisunavailable8270 I thought carnivore will kind of regulate that? Brings your hormones in balance, and allows you to gain weight if you’re underweight. I think ppl who lose too much aren’t eating enough. I am currently breastfeeding, and I lost 20lb and am now at 115lb - I feel good, I have more energy, and my milk supply has even increased a little.

Thanks so much for exploring this and posting about your experience with this diet! Now I am vindicated to all my family and friends who thought I was nuts, they love you so now I'm not so crazy, lol. A few months ago I went Carnivore for a month because I was experiencing some severe inflammation and RA symptoms, I was in severe pain and basically disabled by it. It reversed all that IN THREE DAYS, it was like a miracle! My digestion never properly adjusted though despite sticking strictly to it for a month (sans dairy, just in case) and following all the tips and advice, so I slowly transitioned into healthy keto and am working on improving my microbiome. I plan on doing a "reset" with it in a few months to see if certain things I have added back in are not good for me as some inflammation is sneaking back in. But my life is still so much improved!!

Nuts and seeds is also what lead me to investigate the carnivore diet and tested it for a couple weeks. Keto has been a game changer, but last year, I was starting to crave more protein, tried nuts and seeds and had more issues. I benefit from organ meats if I can learn to cook them better. I think I'm going to try carnivore longer during the summer when greens are not in season. Thank you for the video. Always fascinating to test out nutrition. Love reading the comments. Very sensible Dr Berg, thanks for your insight on trying the carnivore diet for 2 weeks. You were in a great place to experiment with this, you're probably definitely more metabolically in tune with your body since you've been eating clean for some years. I have MS, dealing with a lot of metabolic imbalance and without all immune, inflammation and different issues, definitely the carnivore diet is a great thing for someone like me, so very obese, and the weight is a struggle. I know with patients it'll take time, but I like your sensible approach to giving this a try, and the things you added back in that did not give you problems, but eliminating the things you saw did create a little irritation in your system.. I read your full book how to eat for your body type, but just have adjusted a little to more meat base, cutting out fruit and veg, etc. for now...🙏🏽💜

The carnivore diet saved me from my desperation of several disorders I was experiencing at 31 years old. From unexplained dizziness, Acid Reflux, Chronic Inflammation, NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease), Hypothyroidism, Hypertension and Arrythmias going from Bradycardia to Tachycardia. I was in a world of misery for a year and a half and it kept getting worse. I tried medications prescribed, which was a hit and miss because while some symptoms were getting better other new ones would appear due to the meds and at the end I would still feel sick. I also was level 1 obese even if it wasn't obvious with my features and height being 5'11 and 231lbs. I tried many kinds of diets and almost all made me feel worse except for Keto which briefly made me feel better but was hard to maintain. Then I reluctantly tried carnivore for a month. And I lost 8lbs on my first week and eventually lost a total of exactly 30lbs overall by the end of the month. During my diet kept peeing off excess water from my body especially on my first week and my acid reflux totally disappeared but I was also experiencing keto flu which I braved through, my blood pressure went from 150/90 to 110/70 on the 2nd week and the feeling of impending doom from my heart rate to extreme fatigue and dizziness went away. I stopped all meds after my doctor's visit for my arrythmia and hypothyroidism. I'm off the diet for almost 6 months now and have experienced no relapses from the disorders even after gaining 10lbs back. I intend to get back at it to lose more weight and regain the kind of energy I felt during the diet. I don't usually believe in miracle cures but this diet basically saved my life.

Amazing. I too have hypothyroidism and use dessicated thyroid, but weight loss is none existent, what with all my other issues. I can fast easily, but refeed my body wants to get back to that set point IT set lol. So over last few weeks have transitioned to more meat, less veg/fruit and very naturally have ended up doing carnivore last cpl days. I didn't realise I was doing carnivore lol. I have good meat butcher (local farm) and I make my own organic greek yoghurt, heavy cream in coffee and thats me, OMAD. I just hit trace ketones which I tend not to be able to do unless fasting. Gunna continue as this is easy for me.

YES! I'm so happy you tried it. I shifted from Keto to carnivore after having severe acne in my 30s... after 3 weeks my skin was cleared. I'm now 7 months in an no longer in pre diabetic ranges and my thyroid is working more correctly. My hormone levels were leaning towards becoming hypo thyroid like my mom, grandma and twin sister. I may have broken that generational affliction with carnivore. I've lost 34lbs, I have about 30 more to lose, but I'm not even made it's taking longer than my husband who's close to his goal and down 61lbs. He had sleep apnea and no longer does. We're never craving junk like before and that was the biggest hurdle with every diet tried before. I enjoy being able to fast without pushing through hunger pains, because even on a calorie reduced version of carnivore, I'm always satisfied. It's been life changing to my mental health in general just by getting over the hump of detoxing all that sugar out of my body. I had no idea the depression I was in due to sugar until it was gone.

I got hit by a drunk driver going 100mph on May 7th, 2019. The following 2 years were hell. I walked away from the wreck, but my upper back and neck muscles were destroyed. The following 2 years were terrible. I could barely do anything throughout the day, I was in so much pain. Lots of time spent laying on my recliner. I gained over 50 lbs. I started getting severe insulin resistance and crashing from my blood sugar. I started Keto and lost the excess weight, but I still had a lot of pain and inflammation in my back and neck. I was doing much better than previously, but I felt like I had a backpack on with 50lbs of extra weight in it all the time, after about 2 years of keto, I started carnivore diet. Within 3 days that inflammation disappeared. I lost another 7lbs within a week and noticed I was getting cravings for sweets or carbs anymore like I was constantly getting on Keto. This is the easiest diet I have ever been on and feel better than I have in a very, very long time. I actually crave steak more now, even though I eat one almost every day. I thank God I started doing carnivore. It has improved my life in so many ways, and I can exercise much more consistently without being in agonizing pain all the time.

I have a couple protein shakes daily. I had bloodwork 3 weeks ago. I never had issues with blood work prior other than near limits on Trigs and Cholestrol. I intentionally ate eggs and had a protein shake 1 hr before the blood draw. All my numbers were under the “limits.” I started doing this last Oct 1, and I’ve lost 25 lbs. I haven jogged much at all in 6 months due to a bulging disc in my back. I actually weigh a couple lbs less now than when I graduated HS 34 years ago. (1) Perfect bowel movement every morning. Though, most of my diet is animal products. I made carnivore noodles for the first time yesterday and they were actually really good, but I did notice I became tired after, which is interesting. No protein shakes and I actually stopped drinking tea in the morning, because I already have an abundance of energy when I wake up now. Its amazing to see how many are losing like hundreds of pounds with this, feeling fantastic, and they like the food. Best to you (love the username, so cool)

I am down 65 pounds doing carnivore. Started mid November 2023 and now it’s the end of February. The fat just melted off. 222 this morning 157. Think about 155 will be my goal looking at physique now. Never had a goal weight just see what happened and it was literally a pound a day for a while. Always had a great frame and muscle to work with just never lost so effectively without having to exercise or never tried to lose without exercising anyway. Always been Atkins type at weight lifter just 5 surgeries helped me get lazy and eat/drink too many carbs over a 5-6 year period healing from each accident. Saw a picture of myself in November and thought it was Santa Claus. Had to make a change. This will be my lifestyle from here on out. It’s so easy and actually takes zero thought. Eat meat and go. Our cupboard is empty as everyone in our house is switching slowly after watching/seeing the recent me. Plus , ever since reading “Guytons” medical book going through school 30 years ago , I always hung up the sentence saying carbohydrates are non-essential. If it wasn’t that medical book it was a major medical book that we had to study. Seemingly , that was not discussed much or at all, rather skipped by every class that used the book. Humorous.

I took the Carnivore diet for a test drive for two weeks too! Well, I’m with your brother. I truly missed my kale salad, romaine, and anything green. Funny that. I craved sauerkraut and Granny Smith apples. It’s gotta be my Germanic ancestry calling-bitter and sour! Nice to see you again Dr Berg, your videos have been buried in YT.

5 weeks on carnivore, felt very very tired out of energy could not do anything pass 11 am. Got from constipation to soft tools to diarrhea. Now just started to have energy ( but to motivate me I had a plum) I was so down and not seeing any colors in my life… I was not a sugar eater no alcohol no flour. I used to ate like you and lost 12 pound …after I change a little my diet ( more meat, and raw chocolat and stop activity)never lose my 10 pounds I still need to loose. I gain another 6 pound in those 5 weeks!!! I had stopped eating salad because of the oxalate … now I don’t know what to do .. thank you for your video and teaching ! ❤❤

I grew up on red meat, a butchered cow in the freezer every year. As an adult I believed the story that red meat is bad for us, so for years and years I never ate it. After viewing so many videos on you tube about red meat, I have been eating it for the past 3 or 4 weeks. The pain in my hip, knee, ankle and even in my lower back as disappeared. I've been told this was inflammation I was suffering with, because the x-rays showed very little loss of cartilage. I will continue with this diet, and eventually eliminate everything except red meat to see if I can get back on the treadmill and bike. Great information, THANK YOU Dr. Berg. Ps I am not telling my GP about my new diet and see what the bloodwork shows if she takes blood.

Thank you, Dr Berg, for this video. I have been toying with the idea of trying this. Interestingly, the things you said about your own diet and what you now eat (and missed on carnivore) dovetail with my own experience. For me, the fermented products are really important; and I think some of that has to do with being given too many antibiotics as a child. Nuts, also, much as I love them, give me some trouble. As to cheese? Nope. I was brought up on a dairy farm and had raw milk daily from the age of a year. Personally, I found this really helpful.

I went keto about 4 years ago because of you. Well because of my type 2 diabetes then I found you. I had lost 80 pounds and then stalled out. My diabetes was calmed down but numbers still a little high as in borderline. I switched to Carnivore, lost another 30 pounds, and reversed my Type 2. I tried to go back to keto and the bloat was horrid, my body does NOT like veg at all. My mouth does and I miss vegetables, but it isn't worth it to me. I put back on that last 30 pounds when I went back to keto and got depressed so went back to eating tons of bagels and bread. I had suicidal ideations and was seeing a therapist in order to try and curb it all. I have a lower back injury that has kept me in too much pain. was getting some help from a Chiro then of course my insurance said I wasn't improving so they kicked me off chiro and told me to go get on pain management. This last winter was hell. I started back to my carnivore ways about 3 weeks ago, I have lost 10 pounds my bloat is all gone, I have energy and my back pain level is about a 6 when I have been living at a 9 - 10. I am sold, I won't ever go off carnivore again, it is truly going to keep me healthy for my grand kids. I am 56 and plan on living to 100!
