@GoZags43
@GoZags43 2 жыл бұрын
This is the best comparison I’ve ever heard, and I’m jealous I didn’t think of it. Scola developed a mid range game and was a better outside shooter overall. Timme has to fix his guide hand to improve that shot. He gets way too much push from it giving his shot awkward spin. But he can get to Scola’s level as a shooter. They even are similar as passers. Scola did the behind the back post pass and just had great vision overall. I hope Timme is as successful in the league as Luis was. Perfect comp.

He had a 3 season stretch of 15 16 and 18 ppg during those 3 seasons, all of which he shot 50% he's a career 12 ppg shooting 50%. That's a really solid NBA career. If someone can put up those numbers as a role player, they will pull like 8 to 15 mil a year my guy. He definitely wasn't a bum. 🤣🤣🤣

You’ve never watched Timme before this I’m guessing. You DEFINITELY have never watched Bird. Like the other person said, Luka is partially right for a Bird comp, but Larry wasn’t a PG with elite handles like Luka. Larry was like Luka, Chris Webber, and Steve Novak blended together where the athleticism/shooting is Novak, the big moment delivery/perimeter passing is Luka, and the post skill/interior passing/rebounding was Webber, and then on D he was Luka (not great laterally) with Scottie Pippen’s hands. That’s the best I can do. Larry was the greatest shooter of his generation. Timme is a bad outside shooter. His guide hand pushes too much and it’s an awkward release. Bird was also a top 5 all time NBA passer. Timme is a very good college passer. I’m a Zag through and through, but no.

How you can watch the most skilled post player in college basketball and criticize his work ethic is beyond me. Just idiotic. Fact: some players grow up with bad form on their jumpers. Timme is one of those players. Guide hand pushes and it’s a hard habit to break. He can get to 33-34% 3pt and 73-75% FT, but he’s not turning into some incredible shooter without a Kawhi like miracle.

I picked Memphis over Gonzaga in my bracket, I knew Gonzaga wasn't going anywhere, Memphis dominated Chet holmgren inside. We need to stop pretending that the WCC is some sort of powerhouse. We overhype Gonzaga because we see them dominate in the regular season but fail to consider that they're winning against garbage teams. If Gonzaga played in a power 5 conference they wouldn't even be a 1 seed.
