As an insurance adjuster let me tell you; people absolutely hit parked cars then try to say its not their fault cause it was parked illegally. Never works out for them. We hold you at fault.

Parking in gear is legit a necessity, at least in colder places. In my country during winter, if you park the car and use the handbrake you aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The handbrake cable just freezes in place and you cannot move it until it thaws.

Literally everyone in Australia leaves their car in gear when parked ahaha. Never know when your handbrake might fail or something. Extra reassurance

I leave it in gear and set the ebrake. There was a kid at my college who only used the ebrake, and it failed while parked on a slight hill. The truck rolled into the creek going through campus and was destroyed. Ever since them, I use both.

It looks like the guy in the F550 was unfamiliar with the clutch and came off the pedal too hard launching the Ferrari right into the shop wall. Those stopped being made in 2001, so he probably picked it up for a good price and wanted to get it serviced. As for the Mustang. It seems a lot of these Mustang incidents are caused by the driver not waiting to straighten the car out before they launch it. Then it hooks at an angle and they panic and overcorrect.

12:52 that statement is actually 100% accurate. They don't just reinforce those light poles with concrete for the hell of it. I accidentally crashed my '76 Toyota Hilux into one (because I'm a dumbass) and neither the light pole nor the truck took any damage. It put a little dent into the chrome bumper on the Hilux but that just adds character. Yeah, I shouldn't have tried to drive the truck like that considering it doesn't have a bed so it'll spin out like a top. Also the damn thing has more play in the steering wheel than my mother. Yeah I know that doesn't make any sense, just use your imagination. After all, that's how my mother became pregnant with me in the first place. If you take a hit like that in a modern car, that whole front end would be disintegrated. 70s shitbox? nah, it'll take it like a champ. Try it sometime.
