I'm definitely buying one of these, probably the XL Pro. My GoPro Hero 5 battery lasts 30 minutes if I'm lucky and the crazy mic adaptor arrangement has made my helmet look like Jodrell Bank. Great video, thanks!

Spent about 8 hours researching GoPros for my helmet, and only realised at the end, they're woefully lacking in battery life. Think the XL plus the external mic is for me. Unlock the gopros, adding external mic is thankfully cheap as chips.

I've heard this camera is hit and miss but I do like the shape. It's for a cycle helmet and I current;y have the ancient Contour 2 Roam :) Can the internal mic pic up me shouting a number plate if needed and do you still like this camera?

At such low frame rates, do get a lot of image judder when mounted on the bike due to vibration, road surfaces, etc.?

I understand that Event Protection will record if theres a punch or sudden stop. Can I manually trigger and save the event by pressing some buttons? On the Ghost XL

Hello i just brought drift ghost xl few days ago. I Kinda read the manual book and saw the warning about radiation fcc exposure. And it say should put the device minimum distance 20cm between radiator & your body. And i am worried to put on my helmet or i just misunderstood the manual

I haven't got a smart phone so cant have the App, when I want to view the footage can I plug it into my PC via USB or would I have to remove the SD card first?

Hi my drift ghost xl sometimes freeze and stop flashing red light. on red light then with out flashing and not recording, then i have to press stop bottom and hold for 30sec to turn off. Anyone have the same problem? Thanks

Be careful when you are in clone mode. I have not tested it yet but if you format the SSD in the master, will it will format the slave ? You could end up loosing all your footage from the slave camera by mistake ... Did you find this ? Also, just found out about the one touch record setting causing external (helmet) mic to distort badly. I have very recently purchased the XL and have now flashed the FW to 2046 to see if it fixes the problem. Will test ASAP. Otherwise you have to disable one touch record and use a BT remote or the embedded control. I bought this camera for the one touch record capability myself so if the FW change does not sort it I will be disappointed. Be safe!

Just bought a drift ghost pro for motorcycle. I rode half hour to destination and took helmet off and the camera had turned off. Pressed record and rode home. Took helmet off and again it was turned off. I checked the app and it only recorded the first half of both rides. Any idea why?

Yo compré una drift Ghost XL después de 2 meses un día Solamente llegue a conectarlo porque se me descargó totalmente y estaba muerta no encendió nunca más debido a esto volví a comprar una ghost 4k+ venía funcionando muy bien aunque esta última me daba el problema que calentaba y la batería era muy pobre no duraba mucho .... mi sorpresa fue que nuevamente esta otra cámara me dio el mismo problema la conecte y no funcionó estaba muerta ahora tengo dos cámaras estropeadas y no sé qué hacer no sé qué hacer si alguien me ayuda por favor SOS

I had a Ghost XL Pro and it was truly dreadful. The battery would not hold a charge and despite reaching out to Drift on many occasions, and the fact it was still in warranty, they would not help at all. Their after sales service is non existent and, interestingly, you will not find an address or telephone number for them anywhere on their website!! I would highly recommend not buying one of these cameras but go for something like the DJI Oslo Action 4, a far better all round camera.

My camera seems like it only records for 15 or 30 mins then it starts a new clip. Why can’t I get one long video?
