This is a fairly common operation that many shops may do to make these more functional. This is what the customer wanted. Usually I will fill in the rear dovetail, but the customer just wanted this done.

That looks like an old Steven's Favorite. IIRC, my Dad had one in 25 rimfire (ammo very rare now). Nice work!

That not a stevens favorite that a stevens little scout rifle the favorite has a lever like a lever action rifle to move the block but is still a single shot rifle
