I got a jazz gig and I wanted a sizzle ride; I had this HH Sabian that I don't use often and thought it would fit the bill. Sure, you can just drill away but here's a semi professional way to drill a rivet pattern and use split rivets. It occurred to me that I didn't show what a split rivet looks like; you can see some here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006... From my experience 2 or 3 rivets is plenty.. I use #6 brass bolts and file the heads down for more sustain

which tool are you using to attach the rivet to the cymbal ? i don’t understand . thank you !!

dekal boy I'm using split rivets, which makes them easy to remove; they have a notch in them which you can spread out so they don't fall out.

dekal boy Otherwise you can use a standard pop riveting tool.

I literally can’t hear a word of what your saying. I hope it’s not important info coz otherwise it’s a VERY useful video for me as I’m about to drill a few holes in some hi hats to mount triggers

It was really windy outside so I put annotations on the video, bur I don't think they show up on KZfaq anymore. I'll check and I'll message you back again. I know they don't show up on the phone
