My uncle was brutally murdered in 1984 unsolved in his home on burns and I will never give up on getting his case opened knowing there is a file and dna that can be tested.

He was stabbed and found with a plastic bag over his head in his kitchen. He had just been dropped off so we aren't sure if someone followed him in or was already in his house.

I was going to extend the SAME Sentiment to YOU , May he be RIP So unfortunate that those are the memories that wlll be with you and your family Especially in an area as historic visually pleasing !

My Grandparents lived here. Glad to see this historic area of East Detroit hasn't been relegated to the dust bin of history like the rest of the surrounding area.

Beautiful homes. Looks almost identical to homes in Walkerville across the river. (Windsor, Ontario)

This is what all of Detroit should look like...beautiful classic homes & great streets, property areas and street signs. What's the sad shame is what a large area of the city looks like from many other KZfaq videos...all meant to tell us that the city is in trouble and has been for 30 - 40 plus years. Anyway...the driver of the van "slipped on through" a few stop signs. Oops!

@NMR no i live in detroit and most of Detroit is very safe my sister lives on the west side in a mostly senior black community and I live in new center and we have both never experienced any crime here and think about all the great colleges and new homes and apartments all around the city plus genrifcation

but that's old news about Detroit it very segregated out here no bad people come to the nice areas and the old homeless shelter in midtown which was the worst part of midtown is relocating to North end soon

Do people still live there these days? The area looks empty, and there are very few cars parked.
@jodyswan58634 жыл бұрын
They’re at work or parked in back.

@@jodyswan5863 Thanks for the response. Nice to hear it, the area looks beautiful. It robably looks even better in winter when there's snow on the trees and streets and houses are lit.

I grew up there and enjoyed it. Issue is it is surrounded by a rough area. I only hope the people there now do not think they are safe.

It's a good thing some of the homeowners spent their own money on private streetlights. That place would be black as pitch after dark without them. A major American city that can't afford streetlights.

You're a dumbass, the city just got new LED lights. The city now has better lighting than any other city in America.
@sarjim43817 жыл бұрын
Do you have a link to a story that says Detroit has better street lighting than any other city in America?
The story merely said the city now has 100% LED lights. It said nothing about Detroit having "better street lighting than any other city in America". Do you live in Detroit? If so, how much driving in the neighborhoods do you after dark? You might also note that the majority of the costs were paid for by state and federal taxpayers.
@kennethbyer77257 жыл бұрын
LED lights are more energy efficient and brighter than conventional street lights, it's going to save the city millions every year in costs. AKA it's a big advantage for the city which is why it's much better. Cool? You realize every city gets federal money to aid in infrastructure projects like this, it's why we pay federal taxes.
