I take a drive in New York City from Astoria, Queens to Dyker Heights, Brooklyn via the Queensboro Bridge, FDR Drive, Brooklyn Bridge, I-278 Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) and Gowanus Expressway. I pass through many neighborhoods such as Long Island City, Midtown Manhattan, DUMBO, Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carrol Gardens, Sunset Park, and Bay Ridge.

The Second Avenue Elevated ran across this bridge to join the Corona and Astoria Els until June 11, 1942. The streetcars that ran across the bridge until 1956 were the last such vehicles to run in New York State.

Washington Roebling suffered from the “bends” as a result of time spent in the caissons during the Brooklyn Bridge construction. His wife, Emily then replaced him. But Washington Roebling lived on into the 1920s.

Nice video ActionKid. The traffic doesn't seem too bad for NYC. I live in Michigan, and our roads are horrible due to very heavy trucks and poor maintenance despite heavy taxes.
