Montauk Point is situated at the eastern tip of Long Island, approximately 120 miles east of New York City. I explore Montauk Point and climb the lighthouse with ‪@TheNYCWalkingShow‬ and it was an amazing experience.
Commissioned by President George Washington in 1792, the Montauk Point Lighthouse is one of Long Island's most famous and cherished landmarks. It is the first lighthouse built in New York and is the fourth-oldest working lighthouse in the United States.

i don't know how the woman can do that job all day long...maybe they have shifts at the top of the lighthouse. I got vertigo and panic in the lighthouse in Bermuda....not fun. I could not do this now. Bermuda was in 1980.
