Never saw this solo by him. It's the most monstrosity I've seen of him. And to incorporate those blast beats at the end of the tune. It felt like a cadenza in jazz context. Seriously phenomenal.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Igoe after a concert with The Birdland Big Band in Allentown Pa. Not only is he an amazing player, but a true gentleman. Very generous with his time. We spoke for a good 15 to 29 min.

I saw Tommy and his band WIM in Vancouver Canada back in February 2020. This performance is one of the best performances I have seen. What a Monster drummer. I have both of those books. Helped me a lot with my groove playing

For me it was the Maynard Ferguson version from the 70's. I had the same reaction as you did when I first saw this :-)

I’ve watched quite a few of your reactions and it looked like this one really moved you! Why wouldn’t it, Tommy is a fabulous big band drummer. Thanks for the channel and you are a great drummer as well.
