Positioning of the body is the most important thing in swimming. That is why we need to practice streamline position in order to facilitate muscle memory. In this video, and in all others, I countlessly repeat which muscles should be contracted, only because if not controled, the body with get back to a position that is more natural to it.
The most difficult exercise is at the end.

10 second in each exercise is ok. I usually did Yoga and Pilates. This is great. I did it after swimming class.

You'll achieve what you want, I am sure of it! 🙌 Do make sure that you practice every skill in shallow water first. If you watch my videos with Akram, you'll see the progression into the deep water.

Hello Rahul Reddy from India 🇮🇳 👋 Thank you for taking your time to comment and for your wonderful compliments! I do have a lot to offer and will do my best to continue. Just to put it out there: I’ll be able to do a better job at it if I have my own pool ☺️ My goal for next year is to raise money and to build a pool on my property 🤲 here you go, Universe, do with it what you will 🤗 💖

I just realised it is very easy for me to float because I practice yoga and Pilates, and I do these exercises regularly. The first pose helps in floating effortlessly!

This is tough for a man stretching out horizontally with head, arms, and legs slightly up in a streamline. I need some yoga classes.

I was wondering, when learning the freestyle flutter kick, in the beginning should you listen for the thump thump sound of your feet breaking the surface of the water?.
@easyflowing
@easyflowing 8 ай бұрын
That's how I teach because in the beginning it's the only reference point for where the legs and feet should be.

Thanks, for your reply...I was told my kick is small, I need to emphasis on bigger kick( SPLASHING WATER) but don't get confused with bigger kick and fast hard kicks....both are efficient ways to move through the water...but one will make you super tired...and the other helps you through several more laps

A correct flutter kick is a bit complicated. The legs should push the water on the way up and on the way down. When your swimming teacher is asking you to splash, the water, they want you to get your feet in the proper position while pushing the water up and to learn how to push that water on the way down. Once the correct body position becomes a second nature, you won't have to get your feet out of the water, you'll barely break the surface. Of course, for an efficient kick, you do need to move your hips to make your kick long (from your hips, not from the knee).

Started learning to swim in June. Can swim front crawl now and can kick on my back with the scull. Learning to push off in a good streamline now, doing dolphin kicks, mastering the back stroke and finally breathing to my left side on front crawl as i can only breathe to the right side
