Years ago I was doing some volunteer work and was making hundreds of peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunches for the homeless in Florida. The nun that ran the place had played a small practical joke on me, so I decided to get her back. I had told her I was hoping to land an amazing new job and had had an interview for the job of my dreams. Then I had another volunteer call her while we were making the lunches several days later. She told her she was doing a reference check for a job I had applied for and I had listed myself as being the Associate Director of Peanut Butter and Jelly for Catholic Charities. We got busted because we started dying laughing when she attempted to make it sound like an important position in the organization LOL

After watching a lot of these Dry Bar Comedy videos, which I happen to love, I have found that they are edited, which is completely understandable. However sometimes the editing can ruin the chronological integrity of the jokes. A lot of times Comedians set up jokes early in their specials and make call-backs to it later to get big pops of laughter. For example in this video, at 2:00 he says, "Like I said earlier, How low are your expectations? ... This man was applauding his survival of the flight." -- He doesn't say "How low are your expectations? " until LATER at 6:10 in. This particular edit doesn't ruin any of his jokes, but it did confuse me until I realized that the bits are re-arranged. This helps me to know that they are edited and re-arranged in this manner because there have been other specials that I watched that I didn't understand why some jokes came before/after others... I used to blame the comedian, but now I know it's most likely the editors doing it. In another video for Andy Beningo his whole opening bit is about an interaction with his wife where he eventually ends up covering his face with his hands and that gets a big laugh reaction... Later in the special, he sets up that joke by talking about how his kid does that when he gets in trouble. Due to this editing, it makes the special really awkward to watch because the chronological order of the jokes in the video makes you think the Comedian is stupid for doing them in that order. Andy Beningo's Special 00:00-2:09 (Which gets a big Laugh) is the Joke that is set up 15:06-15:56 (Which gets small Laughs). I almost stopped watching Andy Beningo's special around the 16:00 mark because of it.
