Dryer No Heating? How to fix Not getting hot or drying Whirlpool, Kenmore, Amana repair Guide

Easy step-by-step no heat dryer troubleshooting and Repair Guide including heating element test. I go slowly through every problem including thermal fuses and timer power testing. I even give a crash course on how to use a tester.
In this video I will show you how to fix Diagnose and fix any electric dryer that has a filter that comes out the top. These brands include Kenmore Estate Crosley Whirlpool Maytag Roper KitchenAid and more.
If your dryer has a filter that comes out of the door these symptoms and fixes will be similar but how to take the dryer apart will be very different. This video may still help.
If your dryer is not heating the most common fix is in proper amount of power going to the dryer. In this video I go through all the possibilities of why you do not have the right amount of power go onto your dryer.
The next most common problem is a thermal fuse going out. These go out from lack of airflow usually caused by the dryer or the exhaust pipe been stopped up. Be sure to clean out any lint inside the dryer and the exhaust pipe before you plug the dryer back in.
The next less likely problem would be the timer going bad. There are several ways to test timers but I like to just open them up and see if they are badly burned. Instead of replacing them I use a guy I found on eBay that refurbishes them.

I thinking added more water to my front load Maytag washer but the level switch is non adjustable. So I`m thinking its air pressure at switches it if I add a 1/4 gas filter in line with switch making more air space ,more air means more water . Your thoughts?

Interesting I’ve never considered that. So You’re saying the gas would compress at a slower rate than air and then put a check valve so you don’t lose the gas. Just be careful because you don’t want a washer machine overflowing in your house.

What does a pause/play washer gearcase do if the splutch is what changes it from agitate to spin? I saw the video where you took one apart to show the bearings. I have a kenmore washer that during the wash cycle its trying to agitate the whole tub instead of just the agitator. Ever seen this before or have a fix?

I have seen that but it’s been a very long time. I feel like it would be the actuator.

That was my first thought too. I'm a fellow flipper and repair tech. I did change the shifter and actually watched it work. I should also mention that it was working fine but tried to take the tub out for cleaning (wouldn't budge even using the c-clamp method) and now it doesn't agitate right. The drive shaft was in bad shape, took alot of penetrating oil and persuasion just to get the agitator off. Maybe some rust or debris got in the gearcase and jammed the driveshaft?

Thy taking their entire split here of and re-lubricate it. It might be that it’s a lot moving up and down as it shifts. Or that it is stuck mashed together.

Sometimes my gas dryer does not heat or much at all. Then all of a sudden it's back to normal. We did not do anything (intentionally) to fix it either. Any clue? Edit: also I tend to smell an odour outside sometimes as if it wasn't cleanly burning the gas.
