Hi, Joe. I wished you had shown the removal and install of the liners. I did it once but with experienced mechanics but that was 46? years ago.

I didn’t included that part on video. I use an OTC sleeve puller. You can also use a hard wood 2 x 2 to force them out from the bottom. I’ll add a small part of sleeve removal on my next in frame video James. I’ll make sure I add a section

What about ring end gap? I'm not a diesel mechanic just curious if it's a big deal or not?

When replacing liners and pistons. Your ring end gap will be within specs. You would have to check if you, for some reason, we’re going to reuse the liners

What’s the difference is price between a dealer over haul kit for the 466, assuming they’re an after market? Where was that kit made?

I’ve bought some PAI engine kits before. The price varies between 1200 to 1600 depending on manufacturer.

@@JoesBusBarn I see international discontinued the DT466 in 2016. I mean, it wasn’t really a DT466, they called it something else. But it’s interesting the demise of these engines due to emissions.

@@JoesBusBarn Yep. Truck engines were such a small part of their business, they just said screw it, not worth trying to please the EPA for road engines. They were right- they'll just keep coming back with more arbitrary requirements until diesels are dead. They will never pick a mark and say "done".

Hey joe love the videos I got a question if you have a moment I’m working on 2003 international school bus it has the dt466e When I pressure test the oil rail it leaks oil on the top oil oring I replaced all 6 injectors and they are still leaking have you seen this before the injectors I got we’re reman injectors

Hey Cody. The oil rail is always going to drip oil out the sealing side. As long as oil doesn’t gush out. Did you check the pucks themselves. They do go bad
