That my friend is going to be a thing of the past. You are going to be driving an entirely different truck (running engine). Truck is going to be back on the road. No more clouds of smoke no more excessive oil consumption

I’m enjoying this!! Are you going to double dog bone the lifters? The front engine support mount is a pain, we made an engine support that sits on the axle.. it supports the block while infram is being done.. cant wait to see the rest !!!

Could u get away with out resurfacing the head if the head gasket is barely leaking I have maybe one drop of milky residue on my dip stick and doing this job in my driveway and need to back to work ASAP

Yes. You could. It’s not recommended. Use a straight edge and feeler gauges after you clean the head/block mating surface. To get and a better idea if the head is warped.

Do you send the injectors out to get pop checked and the spray pattern checked?

We send them in to a local shop to get check’d/repaired.

Do you replace the head studs or just reuse the old ones?

I always replace head bolts. They tend to stretch out a bit.

Is it true what they say if you remove fuel lines to put a plastic cap on them or is just bs they put in books?

It’s to keep the from draining out. To make it easier to bleed out air from the fuel system.

And yes. Books are good sources for info but visual (video) has always been my favorite too.
