This year at Pride, we had the proudest bus in the parade, not because it had the most glitter or flags, because it had the proudest people, Proud Dads. Gwan ahead and warm the cockles of your heart.

I was born in England because, in the early sixties, unmarried mothers in Ireland were treated as criminals....I cannot believe that my beloved Ireland has come so far in such a short space of time And these fathers are the best of the best Huge love to all of them and their wonderful children #DublinPride

I was just there in Dublin and this same bus company was beautifully supportive. I had convos with many of the drivers, telling them I was gay. Not a single word against our kind. I got lost so one driver spent at least 2 minutes giving me directions with the passengers within ear shot egging me on. Ireland, you boosted my heart. I won't forget it.

This is my favorite thing on the internet. “Let’s go to Pride, Son”-it gets me EVERY TIME. These dads and their kids are so beautiful & inspiring. What a world it would be if we can all work to achieve what they have!🌈❤️🏳️‍🌈

Grew up in rough part of the suburbs we had two friends we always knew where gay going to secondary school early 2000's glad to say the tougher lads always protected them and always said so what whenever anyone mentioned it glad to say we are still all great friends with them.
