With us here in Ontario, we use 280/330 for lynx and fisher as well. Dukes aren’t certified to use for those species, so for us here it’s better to buy a trap that’s certified for multi-species use, as opposed to buying a trap for one use only. 👍✌️🇨🇦

I don`t own any Duke traps, But I have a couple a dozen Bridger 330`s, and have never had a problem with them. I also bought a dozen Montgomery 600`s with the " Canadian Bend " thirty years ago, that have caught, and held everything that the jaws closed on. Almost all of my traps are old, with a few exceptions like the Belisle, Savage, and Sleepy Creek, but I have a large selection of Blake & Lamb in double long spring, and coil, also Victor jump traps, double long springs, single long springs, and so on.

Btw. Dukes are awesome traps. I never feel bad about setting them. Caught a 69 pounder in a duke 330. That said. I prefer belisles.

Who's knocking!!🤣🤣🤣 I agree, I have Duke coil spring traps used ahh, 3 to 4 years that are nearly wore out...Catching Bobs and Coyotes wreaks havoc on them for sure, bent dogs and pans due to softer metals ..on the upside cheap to repalce....Tight chains...

Duke 330s not a chance to be in the bed of my pickup. I have 4 Bridgers and a Dozen belisle & 12X16 MB. This is going to be my first year trying to get beaver. Only because I never had a place to catch them. Before I got my traps, my buddy gave me his Duke 330s to catch groundhogs the one day I went to check them I had three two were still alive caught by the waist. When I went to a trapping convention in Virginia this year I watched the demonstrations and afterwards I talked to Sam and he told me to do myself a favor and buy belisle .
