It's insane, they really should be held accountable for how 1 our landfills are GROWING AND 2 the rise of prices. I mean next year these dog toys they sell will probably be going for $3 more than what they were this year . It's sad they don't donate

This is just imoral. Stores should be ashamed of this. They could simply donate most of those items for charities. There are so many kids without any clothes or footwear and so many animal shelters that could do with those items for cats and dogs. Such a shame… 😢

It is absolutely ridiculous the lack of inventory control stores have ! And they are held to no standard for over ordering!!! Yet prices continue to rise , and rise and stores JUST TRASH ITEMS because they have over ordered 😳 it just doesn't seem very productive and in fact seems very wasteful. Maybe 🤔🤔 I'm in Texas though there are a couple of us divers that do KZfaq or TikTok out here and we all still find plenty. when I first started, I went 2x a day to find out when the best days were to hit, after that I narrowed it down by timing(idc write down what time I scored and go back next time around the same time) still isn't 100% but definitely narrowed it down for me 😊 there are only 2 5 below that don't destroy there 5 and under items 😂 it's a shame what they do even for the cheapest of items ! Our landfills are so full it's disgustingly sad they keep adding unnecessary things ! Stores should be held accountable for throwing perfectly good items away. They literally should send to second hand store or something! Anything is better than adding to our already over crowded landfills !!! Half Price books is constantly throwing books away I had to stop going there because I cannot save it all it's very overwhelming

Target donates to Goodwill. . .but Goodwill sometimes sells for a few pennies off the last price marked instead of selling it for 80% off the last known price.

Very true about goodwill . At least when I sell items it's 50% of the regular price!!!

I’ve been dumpster shopping for over two years and am usually shocked too 🤣 Though I moved to a new city three months ago and the dumpsters are just trashed by divers at night. I usually go in early morning and end up finding nothing except a couple of times snd cleaning there mess , so they wont lock them up. I never go too often anyways but i used to find lots in my other town once weekly when i went. I scored five Tommy Hilfiger blouse worth a few bucks and other stuff. Yessss I wasn't leaving without ALLLLLL the bags . Being 8 1/2 months pregnant it was HARD lol but adrenaline definitely helped me hahaha plus my egg crate i stand on to pull them out ! I moved to a different location far away from the store and had to go through them because I was just so giddy about ALL THE BAGS. I was in shock . Like shaking had to mute myself because I just kept saying omg , omg ,omg 🤣 I mean WHYYYY . Why are stores so wasteful and there is NO accountability for it what do ever 😞 it's just a vicious cycle they will continue 🥴 but I'm super glad there are divers all around , I've been seeing A LOT from different states and cities score the same exact items!!! I don't know the EXACT days , so part of it is luck . But Ive been doing this for 5+ years and have "learned" a schedule. It's not always the same but for the most part I know when trash trucks comes and when they usually dump just based on going so much . I've made notes when I've scored and when the dumpsters were emptied.

Thanks you ☺️ oh and I'm part ninja 🤪 . Just kidding!! I try and be super quick , which is partially why I don't get full footage of me going through items right then and there. I just grab and move along to another spot to go through the items I find. The longer you are there the chances of you getting caught or seen by employees. Which isn't that big of a deal other than once you are spotted, they will probably start to destroy items to discourage you from coming back.

I'm having a baby in 5weeks . I'm not sure this stuff will really sell right now seeing it's after Halloween. BUT I've had people asking . I might list some on my Mercari site once I have the baby and see if anything moves. I also called other divers to come load up because I legit don't need it all lol . BUT after I went through everything I stores in some totes and moved to my garage. Every dumpster diver in different states are find the same stuff it's insane!!! I agree. They closed Ajwright clearance store where they got rid of clearance and overstock merchandise. And Homegoods ,TJ Max’s and Marshals has increased their prices. I don’t shop there much anymore. Shame on them for throwing away merchandise like that…

@@dumpsterbabe_86 Np! Again, it really depends what District Zone and District Manager would allow it. The store I was working for was very by the book. They wouldn't even allow us to take boxes (If we were even moving). However there excuse is its a security concern because the supplier's address is on the box. That wouldt stop a person breaking into a garbage compactor outside the actually garbage landfill and finding the boxes themselves. I'm just really surprise the bins weren't not lock. The stores here, all the bins are locked As per TJX Associate Safety, we always have two people throwing out the garbage and the Coordinators lock the bins .I'd say you scored the jackpot.

Anytime really . You'd need to figure out you area specifically. Ever store in every state and city are different.
