I save all my wire scraps, when I get bored I strip them while watching tv and save them in a can.

Where I live there’s tons of open construction trash bins and every other week there will be a ton of Conduit and I’ve gotten up to a couple shoe boxes full of the wires and a bunch of the aluminum outer shells that I just throw into one big can

I don't he same. I work in construction and make friends with the electrician and get piles of wire. Lost track when I hit 1000 lbs and still stacking. Won't sell until copper 38 hits at least $6

When I first started scrapping the MooseScrapper channel was my go to for all my info. I feel your channel is an upscale version. His content is wide reaching and informative, yours is the same while being more pleasant to watch.

Steel is at 5.75 cents/pound now. Gas at $5/gallon. I can barely make money, much less make enough to live on. Times have really gotten tough.

19:55 you can open the small valve on the side of the handle, let pressure out, then screw the handle out and dump the powder in a bag or something. No mess at all and takes couple minutes

I like those ones too! Big apartment community ones always have something cool. I’ve been intentionally moving away from those though because entering those rooms can be legally questionable

@@thubprint I wouldn't worry about entering them I love wheelie bins and waste disposal and I always go in them and get photos and take a look at all the cool bins/garbage cans

Hey Thub! You like going dumpster diving and looking for hidden base metal treasures. You may enjoy using a metal detector to find buried jewelry, coins, or metal antiques. Also you may enjoy going panning for gold. They say copper is the poor man's gold. Why not go after the real thing!

carry a chain in your truck and hook it up to things like that cast iron tub and pull it out with the truck .distill the vodka and sell it to teenagers .the planer keep it or sell on craigsst

The bx cable, do you turn it in with the paper still in it? My yard puts it as old sheet with the paper in. .13 cents more without. And something I never hear youtube scrappers mention - flat tires. Am I the only scrapper who seems to get one every couple of weeks?

The more you scrap the more flat tires you earn. Tip: Never leave your truck jack buried under 700 pounds of scrap metal. 👍

How do you tell the difference between Aluminum wire and Copper Wire?

Just cut it and look at the cross section 👌 If you can’t cut it, the weight difference is huge

Al wire that is Cu coated can be sneaked into a large Cu load, but the guy at scale will suspect you of fraud when he discovers it.

After the week I had lost two of my trucks to mechanical issues costing up and be honed the cost of what they are both worth one of them being my bought new and paid off 2011 f150 FX4 has a bad engine and rear end 😠 I'd be drinking them vanilla vodka things till I'm flat on my back 😂😵😂

@@thubprint yea my f150 fx4 shop bill is 6g electronic locking differentials are pricy 😅 but it's onward and upward I got a pile of shred sitting collecting rust and a shed full of copper brass and electronics of all kinds to scrap out just wish the prices didn't tank 😨😂 have a awesome and safe Canada long weekend to you and your family and friends I'll be installing a new exhaust system on my old 98 Dakota so I can drive it until my F150 is back!

There’s a big scale in the floor that you drive onto. They’ll record your weight then you drop one material and come back around to weigh again, and do that each time for every different material going outside

You threw away easy aluminum and copper. That light had an aluminum sheet behind it and refrigerators have an aluminum reefer with copper tubing attached.

@@thubprint take out the screws in the bottom refridgerator and you'll see an aluminum reefer held in by a few screws. The reefer is about as big as your chest. This is where the copper tubing ends up. Refridgerators with the freezer on the bottom are a pain in the butt so i wouldn't worry about them. Also, washers with a front load( door infront instead of ontop) and dryers can have large cast aluminum hinges. Just incase you run into one.
