I love Vn, my wife is Vietnamese. Met so many different Vietnamese in different states during my travels there. They are mostly very passionate people and very friendly. However the corruption issue is quite rampant I believe. Vn is the only country that I've been to in recent years that my wife and I got stopped at the airport immigration and got blatantly asked for bribes/$$$, and not once but twice 😂. Really enjoy your informative videos Ken, as I hope to settle down with my wife in Vn one day, thank you and keep up the good work!

Commie Vietnam today is actually a disguised combination of modern-day neofascist regime with state owned means of production and quasi-state owned corporations (like VinGroup, VietTel) and corporate cronyism, and modern-day neo-feudalism with enslaved Vietnamese citizens sent abroad to work as indentured servants in exchange to send remittances back home generously taxed by the regime. Where I live in Seattle, a travel company charged me $600 to obtain a Vietnamese passport. Ken Duong's company asked for $1600. Who is the IDIOT?

i believe the driving force of your subscribers is the good content you provide, not your accent, grammar, and vocabulary. I especially enjoy the negative view regarding the issues happening in Vietnam. Not ever videos should be rosy outcome unless your channel is propaganda on behalf of the Vietnam government. I speak English with a strong accent, with a post-graduation diploma, I can engage the conversation with anyone who speaks English fluently and comprehend while reading. Once my ESL teacher told me that she would respect people who speak English with an accent because it tells her that they know more languages than she does.

I can also speak Vietnamese (not as well as you) I think your videos are honest, down to earth, insightful and accurate. Totally understand why you made this video, but honestly focus on the majority not the minority, no need to justify yourself, It is impossible to keep 100% of people happy all of the time no matter where you are, or what you do. Being a French Canadian retiree in HCMC for the past 10 years or so, I agree with just about everything you've ever said on KZfaq about Vietnam from my own experience. You sum it up pretty well on every topic covered. My elder brother who works in a very small shop in Hue from 1985 to 2024 selling cooked food and also drives a small tractor to carrying cement concrete and rice and so on all day long from 6 am to 10 pm 7 days ago Today he has totally 35 grand saving in his bank all in all is worked hard effort and persistent

I’ve only ever used an attorney once and I went to her office for one hour. She wrote a letter for me and charged me $99. That was in Portland Oregon about 7 years ago. Maybe with Covid inflation rates have gone up 🤷🏻♂️ inflation is coming down here in the US though. 😉 I do enjoy and appreciate your KZfaq channel. Thank you

Haters are always gonna hate. I’ve been living in the US since I was 8. Last time I visited Vietnam was back in 2000 when my grandmother was sick. I am 51 years old and ready to go back next year. I wish I had found you 7 years ago to help with the legal issue. My uncle made some forged deeds to have my grandmother estate transfer to him behind her back. Now my his son inherited the estate Leaving my other uncle virtually homeless. And now my grandparents home in Saigon is rundown.

Ken I am a retired Canadian married to a Vietnamese country woman living in the trees north of Saigon. I need some legal advise but can't afford you as my monthly income is about two hours of your time. Having said that, I can enjoy your vids free. You are amazingly cognizant of current international politics and your opinions are more on point than many peoples' certainty.

I want to say Ken, is a very smart lawyer and executive dedicated to his roots to help his ethnic ancestors and Western people, and note he is as American as I am. I went to Vietnam for 2-3 day recently and can say I am a senior mobile industry executive bilingual in Mandarin, Vietnam is the recipient of lots of investment and I am seeking a job there right now，honestly with the exception of Singapore, few Asian countries are perfect, but for sure if you stereotype you sound dumb! Apple is producing iPads in Vietnam via their ODM manufacturing partner Foxconn and other Taiwanese ODMs! I don’t really know Ken personally but I do know a humble and honest, straight forward man when I see and hear one. Let me close by stating the 21 century is not a Chinese Century it’s more a Pacific Century and Ken probably could be successful in Hollywood because he has real talent and as soon as I land a role in Vietnam, the first thing I am going to do is invite Ken to excellent Vietnamese coffee! My husband lived in China he said Vietnam is nothing like China. Vietnam doesn’t feel communist at all.
