According to Dusk and active testing from Rhodes Island, it's not actually the shack that is the gateway into Dusk's paintings. We see her teleport multiple characters into her paintings in the Invitation to Wine event. The actual trigger is technically twofold, observation and connection. The former being observing one of her paintings and the latter coming into contact with something she can use to channel a gateway such as one of her painting creatures touching or going near you (we see this in Invitation to Wine). The former reason is why she does not take requests. People in the past have wanted her to paint them an ideal world for them to live in and she got tired of the "lack of freedom and selfish imagination." In short, her paintings are the key trigger. Likely for the shack either the door itself or the paintings inside the shack transported Lava and Co. into that painting. Dusk also has the ability to alter people's perception of reality (literally "Who Is Real?") which can affect a person's perception of time and reality which is why Lava and Co. were in the painting longer than they realized before they "woke up" per say. Overall, it's VERY interesting just how powerful they all are and this is all done without Originium Arts in play

The only thing i know is that when you entered Dusk painting is that you always prepared yourself with : - A Kettle - 3x Instant Noodles - A bottle of water - A sanity potion These requirements are what you'll needed during your journey at finding a safe spot to rest

For how annoyed Dusk has been shown to be by everything in the most literal sense I think her promotion and trust lines show a more lax and talkative side of her, not annoyed by whatever is happening. Or maybe Im just in high copium because I love her design and personality

Just curious. In the event Invitation to Wine, Dusk also transported everyone into that backroom when she, Ling and Nian confronted the Sui-Xiang. So I think there's another way of putting people in to that backroom aside from physically entering that shack.

I think the bit about dusk's personality is a bit wrong, she's much like Nian enamored with the world and the people living within it, that's why she helps them. She may be an introvert who prefers staying alone (probably caused by the fact that she's terrified of the Sui and her not knowing when she might spontaneously turn into nothing), but she does love the world, and so she paints the world as she sees it, and helps the people whom she finds in need of help.

Dusk really liked me for some reason, she was one of my least expensive six star P6 units. Perhaps it's like Fate and we are just cut from the same cloth. Haha. She has been clutch on a lot of missions, but moreso in the ones with the infected bears that split into smaller blobs.

She's like most artist ever that for some reason has godly reality distorting powers.

Honestly I think actual mythology revealed Dusk`s reasons for acting like this. Neet goddess of painting is an allmighty being that lived to see many generations come and pass. Her touch for the arts also denotes a more sensible person. It`s safe to say that she actually feels sad after watching so much struggle and pain that normal people endure. She is an actual caring soul. As for the shut-in part...I think she might also be afraid of one day getting hurt. We know gods in the world of Arknights are not immortal and since we know from Nian the end goal of her and her siblings our little Dusk might have to face many adversities and losses as well. Unlike other omnipotent beings (or similar entities) we met in the Arknights world she`s...much likes us. Also obligatory joke here: maybes she too is an anti-social freak that can`t afford to go outside cause she spends too much money on gacha.
