This is the best thing I've seen in a long time. I love the connection to history and the inspirational story of Frank. I'm 48 and it's hard for me to imagine a President reaching out, in earnest, to the people to calm them and make them feel better in hard times. I haven't seen it in my lifetime that's for sure. Well Kent how many good memories this brought back. My Dad was a child in the 30’s about 1200 miles away from the story you read. He spoke about seeing the sky turn colors from the dirt even at that distance. Then your dog story!…..my kind hearted wife adopted a dog who’s owner passed away a year ago December. He was old and acted like a “typical old man”. He quickly fit in to our family. Not sure who loved who more. The dog loving the Grand daughters or the other way around. We lost him 2 days ago. I learned this weekend that those 2 girls really enjoy your you tube channel so that’s how I found ya. We all stopped at your place in Wellington and Olivia asked about ya and was told there’s a good chance to meet ya there. She was all smiles. Thanks again sir.

Mine, too. My Dad's mother was widowed when he was 13, and they were pretty hard up. She would get soybeans from the feed store and cook them up - at the time, they were considered just livestock feed, but now we know they are high in protein. My Dad and his brother both grew up strong on that "cattle feed", and when Dad was 17 (in 1939) he joined the Marines. His little brother joined the Navy as soon as he turned 17 and was a SeaBee. Dad was hurt pretty bad in the war, and his mother was first told that he had died - then that he was completely disabled. She didn't hear anything more for months, then one day he came walking through the kitchen door. That's one thing we have to be thankful for - that communications are so much better now. When I was in Iraq I could email my Dad every day, and call a couple of times a week. We can keep in touch with folks, so it's not so stressful to be unable to see them in person. Imagine if you couldn't get hold of family or friends now except by letters taking weeks, or maybe an expensive phone call if there was a real emergency. And we have good people like Frank using the internet to help. There's lots of trash on the internet, but there's good too. The assistant librarian where I work usually does a kids' story time once a week, but now she's going to do it online, even though she's nervous about being on camera. We can all think of ways to get through this and help someone, even just one person, to get through it too.

In the military we learned to never give up, giving up was mission failure, or worse losing your whole team. So when the S...t hit the fan, it was time time to put your big kids pants on an accomplish the goal. Some days it just got ugly (like the invisible enemy we face now). But stick to the mission, defeat what at times seamed insumertabl odds. Some fell to the enemy and we never forgot them, what the did or the sacrifice they paid. But in the end the enemy was defeated, the battle was won. I am saddened that the new enemy has invaded my homeland, I fought to keep other enemy's away from my homeland. But this battle will be won, it can't defeat us unless we give up or surrender. We are not a country of quitters. We will over come and defeat this new invisible enemy. I know this in my heart. We will and should morn those that fall, but please remember to praise those that risk their lives everyday to defeat it. We all have a part to play in this "war". Either to stop the spread or to confront it when it makes an attack. My heart and prayers go out to the people and family's that have lost a loved one, my hat goes off to those on the frontlines We will come out stronger and better able to meet challenges in the future, of that I'm sure. We are Americans. We will prevail. USN-RN retired

If you talk to people that tested positive and received treatment you will see there is a cure and it has nothing to do with being vaccinated or not, the enemy are the lies being told to us by the media and the CDC about the science of Covid but the proof is in the pudding ask around talk to nurses because the Doctors are being heavily indoctrinated and the President wants to violate his oath of office to mandate vaccines that have a questionable outcome inconsistent with what we know about SARS 2 which is what Covid is, Informed Consent is law by trying to mandate vaccine you are trying to take away the freedoms many service men and women died for, even by sending manufacturing to a communist country like China that is becoming rich beyond belief, we need to write our representatives and tell them we know they have violated their oath of office with its dire consequences and get the CDC to publish all of the scientific data on it, this data tells us that people who have had Covid have a natural immunity and therefore do not require the vaccine so there is hope but only if we challenge the President the CDC and other federal agencies to publish the true science on Covid then we will keep our Constitutional rights to privacy in our medical records and informed consent to make our own decisions as to weather we want to receive the vaccines or not, this is the enemy trying to usurp our Constitutional right to choose don’t let it happen
