FUN! Yes, dump cakes have been around for a long long time. The most popular one is cherry filling and pineapple on the bottom. Sprinkle yellow cake mix on top. Pour melted butter on top and sprinkle with pecans and I have also made an apple one and peach ones. I can’t believe y’all have never heard of it. Lol but I’m so glad you tried it. And yes, I’ve had it with glaze on top too. Good 👍 job!

OOH WEEE!! Oh yes ma’am . I made this and was jumping around the kitchen. Have mercy, this is sooo sooo good. Have Mercy - thank you Mrs. Donna, and I’m going to try the strawberry one too. All of your recipes are soo good, “on and popping” for real - for real.

Made this today to celebrate the 4th! However, did the topping, used in your peach dump cake. Baked it, covered for 45 mins! However, when I took it out, it wasn't crispy. I did top it with butter, as you suggested, after adding the oatmeal topping! I like a dark crust. So, I returned it to the oven, uncovered. I let it bake another 10 mins! It was bubbling, when I took it out! Now, I have to decide if I'm going to add a topping. I purchased a can of Betty Crocker Buttercream frosting! The plan was to let it sit, in a pot of hot water, stirring it until it reaches a " glaze," consistency. Then top, it with vanilla frozen yogurt ( recently lost 70lbs have to cut the calories somewhere). However, the jury is still out, on that one! This thing is smelling up my house, though! Thank you. I learned to bake from scratch from my late grandmother. Your videos, reminds me so much, of how she and I baked together Both her and my mother, have gone on glory. So I don't enjoy baking, as much as I used to. Your beautiful, funny, videos and family are such a blessing!

I've been making these since my kids were little and they are good and grown now. I do add vanilla and cinnamon I've never glazed one but I will give it a try next time. On another note, y'all are hilarious. Donna took the cake (hahaha) and #1 Dude sucked the last of the ice cream off the scoop and then said "that's supposed to be mine" and Donna wouldn't give up the spoon. Fun times.

I'm so glad you liked your 1st dump cake. I'm also happy you made the cake mix and butter into a crumble because putting pats of butter on the dry cake mix always leaves dry spots which I've never enjoyed.

Tried my first pound cake this last Sunday. It was lemon and it was delicious. However I did let it stay in the oven a little too long but my husband enjoyed it. I did as well. A little crunchy. But it was a lemon crunch. It was really good. I’ll know what to do next time.

I just baked my first dump cake😊 just finished it with a good cup of coffee and it was delicious. I added cinnamon and brown sugar to the top of the apples since I made a half a batch I added sprinkled cake mix vanilla sugar and then the butter. Topped it off with dashes of nutmeg.😋😋😋 I've had it at many celebrations but never attempted to make it. Thank you Donna! I also didn't think I was crazy about the canned fruit. But they have improved a lot I used lucky Leaf Apple. Next is blueberry I think I'll add fresh blueberries to that too.🙋🏽‍♀️
