Been a hammock camper for over 20 years. Been using your chameleon hammock for perhaps 10 years now. Great product. Love the modularity. Considering the quilted hammock for additional weight savings. Amazing amount of options, and somewhat overwhelming, for a custom order.

I hope you develop the thru-hiker version soon. I may do a thru hike in 2026 and I’d all but given up on taking my hammock, mainly due to bulk.

does this compress the down when u lay in it?

No. This has a differential cut which makes the outer shell larger then the hammock body. This allows the down to stay lofted even when the hammock has weight in it.

I wonder how much and what kind of testing. Max wgt capacity? Have always had impression that stitched through hammocks had risk of tearing at stitching. Also wgt of dobby fabric?

The cut of the fabric is designed to move with the hammock. Also is not a sewn through hammock quilt-it has baffles.

There are a lot of companies that have done insulated hammocks and they've done a great job. We are the first to make a Quilted Hammock. There is a difference.

He said they hope to start selling them within 2 weeks, and that he expects a sales "rush." 40, 20, and 0 degrees. Head right feet left (as shown) only at first. Head left feet right will come later. Ultralight (full featured, but lighter materials), thru-hiker (fewer features, simple and reliable), and bridge versions coming later.
