Great video. How do I get the array action to link to the rotation after rotation? Lets say I have inserted a block, rotated it to the correct orientation then I want to apply the array at that rotation. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you! When inserting a block, you can type “R” to rotate it before placing it. Then, your array will be in the same rotation. You can also edit the block and associate a Rotate Action with a Rotate Parameter, the object(s), and the other parameters associated with the array.

@@DigitalDraftingSystems thanks for the reply. I was hoping to have the rotate action within the dynamic block but alas, I tried what you mentioned before i posted and it didn't work for some reason. Further reading on the issues suggests you cant rotate an Array in Dynamic blocks

I must be doing something wrong. My grip is one extra offset distance away from the last cloned object instead of being on the cloned object.

Is it possible to put "USER PARAMETERS" in the Value Set information? Say if we wanted the 'dist increment' to be a varying feature that can be changed by a user parameter, so it can be different spacing between multiple iterations of the blocks in the model space, (not be the same for all dynamic block instances)

Sir, How to do that, If I want to add a Text Label (say: No.1, No.2 ) on the carpark, can the text label change with the Array?

You can create distance and linear parameters, along with stretch and move actions, that can simulate this. The array action can also be set to change with the lookup parameter.

How do you array an object that has a strech parameter already?

There is no Stretch "Parameter", and the Stretch Action must be associated with an existing parameter. An Array Action will copy the objects multiple times, while the Stretch Action will move and increase/decrease the size of objects accordingly. You can assign multiple actions to the same parameter, so after assigning a Stretch Action to a Linear Parameter, you can associate an Array Action to that same Linear Parameter. Your spacing for the array is the key factor in using both actions effectively.

@@DigitalDraftingSystems Thank you. My issue is simple but I can't seem to nail it. Ex.: A vertical line that arrays horizontally (X-axis) but then I can stretch each line repetition on the Y-axis. I need each line arrayed to stretch independent of the other one

@@rediaz08 You can create a horizontal Linear Parameter for your Array Action and a vertical Linear Parameter for your Stretch Action. However, if you only have one line, to begin with, then that parameter will affect all subsequent lines created by the array. Based on your question, it seems like making a block with an Array Action associated with a Linear Parameter will allow you to quantify the number of lines you need. After you determine that, you'll need to explode that block and adjust your lines accordingly. Using the regular "Array" command with "Associative" turned off accomplishes this as well and takes less time.
