There are 100s of videos about operating the Dynon HDX. What you need to do is a video of the back side. How components are mounted, connected, tools required, components required, components needed in addition to Dynon suite. Builders are looking for that info and nobody has it.

The hand grab stabilizer bars around the touch screen displays are a excellent thought. I’m sure they will become standard feathers for all aviation touch screen display manufactures in the future if they aren’t already. Such a sweet display setup for one of the most economical glass panels available for the experimental aircraft world. Allot of information and control for the money and another great interview for such a dry subject Bryan but one of the most costly if you get it wrong. Kudos again Bryan!

When comparing an apples to apples EFIS system, the HDx and G3X are very comparable in pricing, and in fact when doing this with every other EFIS system on the market they all are within $800-1,500 of each other... regardless of the brand, Garmin, Dynon, MGL, GRT etc. So, I don't know about the most economical EFIS system comment, and I think that award would go to MGL iEFIS, and GRT, although the Dynon Skyview SE would be close. These systems all have scaled back feature sets, and limited IO etc, so it really depends on what your needs are. You really have to compare things based on what your needs are for the aircraft... but typically speaking it is worth spending a little more money now and not realizing down the road you can't expand your EFIS system further due to lack of RS-232 ports etc.

My flight school recently bought a C172 that has the dynon unit. We did a night xc last night and it was really nice. I will probably go with this for javron experimental cub I'm building. One thing that was a little annoying was the dimmer. It didn't seem to work quite right. We would set it low and it would get bright or it would get really low. We couldn't figure out how to get it to just stay at the brightness level we set it to.

those are very nice. they really pop with the contrast and hud elements. everything is very clear and ita nice to be able to show so much on ome panel for when things may be a bit more hectic ans you dont want to be changing pages. I would still always like a row or block of analog gauges if I had a choice, but that's more just my preference for a total layout.

Look like great products -- nothing for my microlight flexwing trike in their line up. Maybe need to make a hand held with that aircraft genre growing. Cheers

Just requires an IFR Navigator with WAAS GPS, FADEC engine with Auto Throttle, and a Radar altimeter... then of course the software integration, configuration and AI.

Does the advanced system link with TCAS? Can you do a reverse hold with this. Somebody needs to do a side by side Garmin comparison.

There isn't much third party avionics integration with devices such as active traffic boxes -TAS/TCAS. This typically requires correlation of both traffic sources if ADS-B in is also installed. IE TCAS box is wired to ADS-B In module or ADS-B In/Out Transponder... and is then relayed by that device to the IFR Navigator or Display. When it comes to IFR aircraft the Dynon Skyview works really well with the Avidyne IFD series navigators, so I assume you could find a solution integrating the TCAS box with the IFD, but not sure if the Traffic would be limited to the IFD or also displayed on the HDx.
