VacuumSpot just wants to sell you new filters but they can be cleaned just as easily. In fact Dyson recommends cleaning both filters every 3 months of use. I use a sprayer with warm water to flush out the fine dirt after removing the built up dirt and lint. Keep flushing each filter and also the cyclone and dirt canister as well until the water runs clean from all directions. I pull the hose off and flush it out too if it needs it. But most of the time if just using the vac as an upright the hose will not even get dirty because of the bypass valve. Let extra water drip off or shake as necessary then wipe off with a clean dry cloth. Be sure to let all parts air dry for at least 24 hours before reassembling. I like to sit all of the pieces in front of a fan overnight. Do not use a hair dryer or other heat source to try and dry them any quicker as they will self destruct. Washing the filters periodically will save you lots of wasted money on new filter replacements. It's easy.

I have a Dyson vacuum cleaner just like that ACCEPT it's a DC24 model in orange not red. Vacuuming is 1 of my favorite cleaning tasks in the world, because I don't have to worry about getting spasms as much compared to dusting.

****YOU CAN/SHOULD WASH FILTERS AND REUSE**** Like others have said, there is no need to replace dirty filters. Dyson says to wash them periodically. This video is pretty misleading not mentioning that. There are many videos directly from Dyson showing how to locate and wash the filters. That said, I'm purchasing new filters (from another company) as to have spare filters to immediately swap out as you must wait 24 hours after washing to reinstall the cleaned filters. It will also be nice to have as a backup for when a filter eventually rips or becomes unusable. Had this video's producers mentioned those points instead of leading people on, I believe they would have more sales and thumbs up.

I'm trying to figure out how to take the HEPA filter off the dc15 animal ball it does not have tabs on it like all the other ones it's it's right above the ball there's not been one video that shows this model or how to remove this particular piece
