7 years later... and this information just about saved a life! 😅 I overworked it and unscrewed the entire bottom piece encasing the roller, and it was as easy as using a flat head to get to the roller..

My dad taught me how to clean the brush bar properly. It's very important to keep Dyson vacuum cleaners super clean, because everyone's allergic to dust. Thumbs up if you agree.

Hiya, I'm in the UK and have the same model, I've accidently sucked up slimy stuff into the brush holder and it's all yucky so I've got the brush out but I'm wanting to clean the inside of the holder, I obvioulsy don't wanna flush water or cleaning solution down the canister because I don't wanna get water where it shouldn't be like in the rotating brush assembly or the motor next to the brushes. There are svrews at the bottom can this bit be taken apart and cleaned, as in the clear plastic bit where you can see the brushes from the top? Cheers
