E-Bike Conversion Issues - 73mm Bottom Bracket, Battery Placement, Gearshift Sensor Placement

2 жыл бұрынI recently converted my old 1998 Specialized Hard Rock mountain bike to a 750-watt e-bike with a Bafang BBS02 conversion kit. Along the way I had a few issues that I assume others might have as well. So this video shows what I did to overcome the 73mm bottom bracket issue, the downtube battery that wouldn't match up with the placement of my water bottle cage screw holes and the lack of a shift cable casing on my chain stay for purposes of installing a gear sensor.

I used stainless steel washers to act as spacers and fitted 16mm long bolts. I used a proper aluminium bracket that uses the bottle mounting bolts then 2 additional stainless steel jubilee clips.

Remove the three screws at the bottom of the battery plate then mount the battery plate slide the silver plate downwards slightly .you will then have room to zip tie the top. Replace the black plate with the three screws, then replace the battery, Hope this is helpful

What size are those nuts that you put in the motor plate?

I believe they were 3/8" inside diameter.
