E.L.F $9 Glow Wands vs. $42 Charlotte Tilbury wand. DUPES?!

A dupe or not a dupe? The #elfcosmetics Halo Glow Contour wands go up against the #charlottetilbury Hollywood Beauty Contour Wands. The actual composition of the Charlotte wand is totally different in the contour category compared to the e.l.f. Contour wand. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Charlotte offers a touch of mica, a faster dry time, and a more sheer veiled finish. E.l.f. has a smoother more uniform laydown, and offers no mica with a bit more playtime, which is fantastic for first time users. This is why I crown the elf!!

I know! It's like getting close to high end at the drug store lol. Elf, Nyx & Milani are the best drug store brands in my opinion. Elf is at the top though forsure.

They've been raising their prices lately though 😭 Now everyone knows how great Elf is, and Elf is realizing that they can charge more :( I will still buy them, they're still cheaper than any other brand with comparable products, but I miss my drugstore secret!

Yes! The elf halo glow contour is my favorite, it looks so good. AND it’s cool toned. Often contours I’ve tried, even for fair skin, are orangey so it looks weird on me.

ELF is definitely for beginning or those who don't use cream products often. If I would have bought the CT I would probably struggle. Also I have combo skin and ELF has just been hitting it out the park.

I like the color of the elf more. It's definitely more of a contour color and the CT one is more bronzer

I love the elf contour because it is COOL TONED!!!! So many times I have bought products marketed at light/fair skin and the undertone is so warm it looks orange on me! I have cool fair skin with pinkish tones and this is the first brand I have found that has products that suit me.

Love the halo glow contour! I'm pretty new to contouring, and this was perfect for me to learn with. Plus they had a perfect cool toned shade (I use the fair/light shade).

Just in case you want it to me more concentrated, I let a layer dry and then add on another using my contour brush to pick up the product from the wand. It gives me the level of pigment I want!

You're sleeping on Essense. In my opinion this is the only brand that I have found a true contour and a true bronzing stick. Comes in a stick form you can glide it on or use a brush it. Blends beautifully.

I’ve never seen the Essence Contour stick!! I used their powder palette to set my contour but would LOVE a cream contour that is truly cool toned in my shade!

I’ve found that I love the ELF far better than the Charlotte, not only because of the price and lay down time, but for a medium to tanned skin woman, I’ve found that most contours are bronzer shades and I want cool to neutral when im trying to carve out these rounder cheeks. I’m trying to NOT to look like an Oompa Loompa 😂.

She has a video on applying this, it’s actually an eyeshadow which she picks up with a wet eyeliner brush and draws on like eyeliner. The wetness was from setting spray I think and I can’t remember the palettes name but the short is out there if you search hard enough lol

That liner is wearing you. It’s the first thing I see and it’s not even grounded. It’s just neon, at least add a think black line to give it depth. It looks incomplete. Like a girl who doesn’t know what she’s doing but it looks cool to her

Yes I'm trying to start wearing makeup. I pretty much stopped like five or ten years ago maybe there are so many products out here and idk which ones work the way they're supposed to or are just wannabes?
