E S P was an improvisational psychedelic rock band in Fort Worth Texas which existed from 1985 through 1989. An underground entity in the D/FW music scene, their fanbase grew exponentially from their wild secret House Parties and all-night Happenings held in the many communal band headquarters over the years. Utilizing a home-grown mailing list of over 500 locals, the band kept under the radar while building a large grass-roots following. By the time they actually started playing local nightclubs in the last years of existence, their reputation for heavy psyche rock combined with Anthony's liquid lightshow always brought out heady enthusiastic crowds. After dissolving in the summer of '89, a couple of members went onto later local notoriety in TOADIES, PARASITE LOST, TABULA RASA, AND GUMSHOE. They have only performed once together privately since the 80's and they remain good friends to this day...
