Hi Chris The function is faster because of the way local variables are stored inside the function. Global variables require a dictionary lookup to access, which takes longer.

hi, I just wanted to say that you have some good and informative videos. But I want to suggest you change your thumbnails for a start, it's going to improve your CTR and massively increase your reach. The channel 'how to mechatronics' is a good example of that. I just wish good content would get promoted more by youtube but unfortunately it's driven by clicks on a thumbnail
