When Berkshire bought BYD they were largely a battery company. They stayed in due to their respect for the management.

I find I'm a lot less nervous now that I'm investing in lithium producers rather than Tesla, even though I'm bullish on Tesla. A lot of growth is already priced into the Tesla valuation, whereas i feel the same can't be said for a lot of lithium stocks. Thanks for the interview!

$ABAT (American Battery Technology Company) does recycling and mining of battery minerals. They own one of the largest lithium claims in the USA. They are 15 minutes away from Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada. There are so many tailwinds for them. I’m more bullish on them than before after hearing this.

With the mining permit approved for Piedmont would it be a takeover target for Albemarle with its proximity?

Sure why not? But alb is not currently in an acquisitive mode

I see more consolidation in the sector. Assets and supply chain to serve the market will develop. I believe many junior miners will never be developed due to limited funds and access in those regions.

Equinor has purchased a large % of Standard Lithium's 2 projects. I see more oil companies buying into projects or acquiring these companies.

@@RobbyBobcat agree on all points. Consolidation and/or JVs/alliances will continue to happen at best assets at all stages of development - from early stave azure, to mature development at Liontown to established producers like Allkem/livent. Industry still extremely small and young, it growing at 20%+ faster than most other commodities
