Hi, I just want to say thank you to you guys, I watched your videos, did the free trial exam practice on your website and I wrote ielts for the first time 30th March 2023 in my country Nigeria and my results are; speaking 9, listening 7.5, reading 7.5 and writing 7. I learnt some great strategies from this team for which I am grateful. I wrote my IELTS exam last weekend however although I addressed all the tasks in Task 1, I wasn't able to write the closing line and salutation because I ran out of time. I finished Task 2 and I believe I did a good job. How will this affect my marks? Can I still get an 8? Thank you for your help.

Coming back to this video 3 weeks later I think that at 1:37 what needs to be highlighted is "discuss both views". You only need to do so when asked to (I think?). I was new to Ielts and this is one of the first video I watched about it. It somehow made me think that I always need to expand upon the statement (which I now think is not true, correct?) Looking at the sample test from Ielts website. In writing 2A it says: In Britain, when someone gets old they often go to live in a home with other old people where there are nurses to look after them. Sometimes the government has to pay for this care. Who do you think should pay for this care, the government or the family? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Am I right in thinking that all I need to do is to stick to the question, i.e., "who do you think should pay", "reasons", and "examples"? No need to talk about both views and how Britain does it, right?

Why do the majority of comments below seem fake? I mean people who said they scored 7+ band have fake names.

Hey, while I agree that the essay sounds great, but it is way more over the limit of 250 words. I wrote it in MS Word and found that the ''High Scoring Essay" is 354 words. Is the 3rd body paragraph really necessary if we can provide our opinion in the conclusion? (for a high band score)

I did my ielts test first attempt, got a good total band, excelled in speaking and writing with 8,listening was satisfactory I managed to get 5,however reading disappointed me. I did shoddy work. You didn't include and clear position in your conclusion. They need to find something in between means that you're pretty unsure about your own opinion.

according to AE help, you shouldn't write in the passive sense. For e.g - in this essay i will... rather be active and just include your thesis. What do you think?

Anyone with good writing knowledge ? Lets evaluate our essays. There is an opinion that opportunities must be provided equally to both men and women. This essay agrees with this viewpoint for two reasons. This essay will first discuss how working women add monetary value and then discuss why it is a moral injustice to deprive them of their goals. Firstly, when a woman is involved in professional fields, she brings financial benefits to her family. Unlike in the past, when women were expected to be confined to their household activities, they are now embraced in different professional fields because of their ability to work in extreme situations. Professions such as receptionists and nurses, for instance, offer great value to people's lives, and women are the only ideal choice to meet the demands and challenges of these jobs because of their soft skills in communication and emotion handling. Therefore, the financial needs of the family can be fulfilled only if women are also breadwinners. Furthermore, by not allowing them the chance to work, we snatch away their moral rights as individuals. In other words, everyone, whether male or female, has dreams and aspirations to achieve goals and success in their lives, and if given the opportunity, women can do as well as men, if not better. Florence Nightingale and Mother Teresa, for example, would not have had their work recognised if they had been stopped from pursuing their dreams. This illustrates that it is morally incorrect to suffocate their desires just because they were traditionally seen as homemakers and child nurturers. To sum up, this essay believes that there are two primary reasons why women should be given the same chance to work as men. Firstly, they generate a reliable source of income for their household. In addition, eluding them from their rights would be morally wrong.
