How did you practice in writing and speaking ?

hello ive recently started working on ietls writing can you guys give me some advice on this essay that I've written about topic Some people believe that increasing tax on various industries will reduce pollution whereas others believe that there are better alternative ways. Discuss both the view and give your opinion. Pollution is mainly produced by industrial facilities. Several people argued that making the taxes higher on numerous industries may decrease pollution, while others accept that different types of approaches could be made. In this essay, I will look at both arguments and suggest why replacing the regular industries with other types of mechanisms, is a better way to lessen pollution. Increasing the value of the product in industries makes it harder for them to purchase, this may result in industries no longer burning those inputs since the percentage of profit will fall. Some believe that this solution is a move as these places work either for producing electricity or heat. To contentiously work, they need to burn coal or fossil fuels which is cheaper compared to other ways of generating electricity. Once this case is implemented hence it will be harder for them to use these materials due to less profit and therefore which will push those to no longer pollute the air. In other words, fewer fabrication areas mean less pollution will occur. Constructing Eco-friendly industries alternatively, instead of usual ones, and subsequently closing those working areas could address this issue completely. Since expanding the taxes does not fully do that. some argue that these arguments should take into consideration, as wind power and solar panels do not require any special materials that harm the environment, the only needed source is either wind or sunlight in this solution. This is a better way to combat pollution, owing to not a single item being burned, and also from the point that it is cost-effective on the other hand which also does not require any human control, as a result, it will also save time. In this essay, I have discussed the effects of industries on the nation and possible factors caused by this as well as the path that should be followed. I consider that shouting down those facilities and replacing them with solar power and wind could be useful to deal with pollution rather than increasing taxes on them.

@@homeboyaman8875 sorry for the late response. I prepared within a month with the E2 ielts instructional videos, practice tests and online materials. I kept doing practice tests to familiarise myself with the exam technique, used Jay's tips for my answers structure and wrote a lot of practice essays too. Overall, I believe my background in arts helped especially in comprehension and synonym switches in the exam; I do love reading books. Best of luck in your exams and please incorporate time management in your practice.

@@krishna.panhale Hi Krishna! Thank you for your wishes! In my opinion, scoring well in Writing depends on the range of grammar we use. I made a list of grammatical expressions from the sample answers I read on E2 and elsewhere. I didn’t use any uncommon words or phrases. But I made it a point to use Complex sentences extensively in my essay (There’s a video on it on E2). Simple phrases like “in order that”, “From this point onwards” etc are more impactful as compared to uncommon words. In addition to grammatical range and accuracy, “topic specific vocabulary” has a sizeable contribution to a good score. You may go through a series on KZfaq called “BBC 6 Minute English”. You can pick up certain phrases such as “Net Zero”, “Circular Economy” which would be useful if you get an essay on Climate Change for instance. I wish you all the best for your exam and beyond.

@@valeriyapetrova2724 For Reading, I made it a point to scan through the passage really fast (taking about 4-5 minutes). After that, I looked at the questions. This approach made it easier to locate answers quickly and effectively. I would also recommend writing a word or two about the contents of the paragraph alongside it for easier localisation of information during answering questions. All the best!
