I think it could have been a kitchen from the original house, they used to be separate structures. Are you building a house or conducting an archeological dig? We went through the same thing with our 1875 house in St. Louis. Have fun!

You may or may not have learnt this by now but it might help someone else so will say it anyway .. 1. Just cut open a hole in the wrapper of your cable. Just one side then grab the end of the cable from the inside of the reel to pull through and feed through to the conduit .. should come out without getting tangled up ... 2. Feed a new pulll wire through the conduit along with the cable .. ready for any reason that you might need to replace that cable in the future or even add another one. Make sure your conduit is wide enough & capable of carrying both cable and pullwire

Pro Tip 1: NEVER pull Romex in conduit. Romex is not rated for use in conduit and orange Romex is not outdoor rated. Conduits are considered "wet" locations" by code. Plus three #10 wires are cheaper than 2-10 with ground Romex Pro Tip 2: ALWAYS lubed the wires before pulling them in PVC conduit. Dish soap works well if you don't have wire lube. You would have pulled that in 10 minutes with separate wires and lube.
