I actually prefer this live performance over the original recording version. They’re just phenomenal live. Those harmonies are on point!

This is one of the greatest band ever, their story telling is phenomenal, their singing and their instrumentals, their songs just reach your soul and heart. Speaking of greatest bands ever, I would like to request a song by The Beatles. I'm sure you guys have heard of the band but probably not this song, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

They are Icons of American Music. They are part of my Holy Trinity! The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and the Eagles! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Ahaha didn’t know there was a Holy Trinity for rock 🙌🏽🔥♥️

Pink Floyd gets the Eagle's slot in the holy trinity. Now if Frey & Henley hadn't let their ego and greed get in the way and let Felder continue being an equal partner, they could have easily knocked off The Beatles here, or at the very least cemented themselves as the GOAT American band.

"Eagles - New Kid in Town HD, Live" one of their best performances. And this is one of the lead guitarist. When he was in another great band. "Joe Walsh - Funk 49, James Gang, 1992 (Swedish TV.)" and he's still playing to this day.

The woman in this ballad is lying to herself. She wants the security of a guy who can take care of her financial needs. She is excited by the boy across town because he has the passion her husband lacks, but she knows he cannot support her financial needs. Finding true love is not easy. Sometimes we lie to ourselves.

This song is not about a cheating spouse. To understand the song, you kind of have to know the circumstances behind how it was written. Back in the day, Henley and Frey used to hang out at Dan Tana's Italian Restaurant and Bar, which was next door to the famous Troubadour club. While they were in the bar, they would see people and make up stories about how they imagined their life stories were. On many occasions, they saw very young attractive women on the arms of much older, and obviously very wealthy men. They know that these women weren't on that man's arm for love, but to take advantage of the wealth a power that being with him brought. They figured that the situation couldn't be very fulfilling to them on a romatic level. So, the woman would step out on her sugar daddy. That is how this song was created and the meaning behind the song.

He ass hole, it’s still about a cheating spouse! What a moron!

So yeah, it's clearly about a cheating spouse. They get the money when he's dead. If she's not married to him, why would she be upset? She cannot "step out" on her sugar daddy, only on her spouse.

@@wilpri No it is about women who are young going with older men because they wanted to be wealthy. There is mention of them looking to get money from a divorce. They are then unhappy with their life and the dream they had before of the wealth does not do it for them. The cheating is not the point of the song but it is part of their life.

Ironic that Glenn Frey met his wife Cindy, he was 42 years old while Cindy was 23 years. She got everything in the will. The following verse is definitely about cheating/adultery: *On the other side of town a boy is waiting* *With fiery eyes and dreams no one could steal* *She drives on through the night, anticipating* *'Cause he makes her feel the way she used to feel*

@@wilprithat's not the focus of the song though. It contains cheating, but that stems from a bigger issue which is greed and letting it control and ultimately ruin your life.
