Great piece of film as ever you two ' and still playing em with your finger on the spool old habits die hard Paul I do the same , think it comes from a time when clutches were dog rough on reels or drags whatever you like to call them these days .

Love these video's. Do you use mainly braid for ledgering and if so, what breaking strain do you use?

I use braid when I can if I’m targeting Bream and Skimmers and I use 0.10

Thanks for the video, very well presented Paul nice and clear and some good tips. Glad to hear Chappie is recovering and feeling better. Again great filming from him, thank you. Just one question Paul, when you joined your leader to the loop was it a blood knot you used ? Thanks again to you both ,keep well keep safe.

Hi Paul, great video, thanks to you and Chappie for it. You described the set up of one of the rods, what was the set up of the other? Were you using maxima again? Thanks Mike.

The reel with the red line was Stone River but the leader and rig was exactly the same

Hi Martin, hopefully It’ll be really simple for you to achieve. The first knot is the one on your reel line (or braid) and this is a DOUBLE OVERHAND loop of around two inches long (same knot you use to for hook lengths) and the second knot for the leader is called a HALF BLOOD knot and with this knot my experience tells me that 4 turns is enough and will give you a very small and tidy knot, instructions for both knots are readily available on KZfaq just search “double overhand loop” and “4 turn blood knot” Hopefully that helps, please let me know how you get on👍

Hi Paul, I don't think you said in the Video what size reels you were using. What would you recommend for each of those Rods 3000/4000 or one of each for the #1 and #2 ? Great tips in the Video and here's hoping you and Chappie stay safe and well. Thank you both. Terry..

Hi Terry, the reels are CS10 4000 and definitely the perfect size

Leader knot is a blood knot isnt it, not a water knot
