Yessss! Maurice had the best horn section of all. Chicago (Friends of EWF) was 2nd, Gloria Estefan's crew was 3rd. This is Genius extraordinare with EWF!

tHEY ARE SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST FUNKY. They had almost a cosmic new age philosophy to their group. They were part of the beginning of higher consciousness starting in the late 60s/early 70s. They wanted to bring Humanity up with a higher vibe of Love and Spirit. If you look up the group info you can read about it.

This recording of Devotion sounds slowed down a bit but has all the verses. It is my total fav of all EW& F who are my fav group ever.

Phillip Bailey sings the high notes. They blew the roof off ot the Boston Garden when I saw them in 1987. One of the all time GREAT Bands. (Music and Lyrics)

The album cover was shot in the mountains of Colorado where they also recorded the beautiful music Phillip Bailey and several other members are from Denver, East high school, the other members are from the Chi The live extended version of Devotion is twice as nice, might I suggest - Can't Hide Love
