I'm a 55 year old Special Ed. Kindergarten Teacher. I am also very stressed. I bought a mini trampoline during the pandemic, but was afraid of falling and gave it away. I just keep thinking about it, however, and I've got to do something besides emotional eating to alleviate stress. I bought another one off Amazon last week and tried it for the first time tonight 24:29 using your Gentle 15 video. For at least 10 minutes, my mind was free and focused on bouncing rather than work. Here's hoping... Thank you.

I just found your channel this week and then found you on Face Book too. I'm so glad I found your videos. Thank you! I have my first rebounder on the way, and it is not one of the top models, but I'm just starting out and want to see how it goes. I want to take it easy because I bought a Total Gym over the past year, over did it at the beginning and first set off lower body issues and could barely walk for some days and then decided I would do a lot of pull ups and push ups while my lower body was out of commission and sprained my neck and shoulder area. I had to get a neck support so my head would not move and slept in a recliner for a few weeks. Your videos and advice will be very helpful for me.

Hello Nikki - I've found your channel so helpful, and I loved 'meeting you' in this video! I bought my Fitbounce pro on the recommendation of my pilates teacher about 4 weeks ago. With your help (I put you on my kitchen work top and talk back to you in your videos!) I've begun my very fun rebounding journey. I love taking it gently while focusing on my core. Thank you so much for being down to earth and practical - some of the other 'beginner' (???) videos out there are so unachievable. I've been recommending rebounding to friends - and I'm going to recommend your channel too. Greetings from Oxfordshire in the UK!

Hi Nikki, I've only just discovered you and am so grateful for all that you offer. I have been physically active most of my adult life ( I section-hiked the AT for the first time at 55), but alas, my current season is a bit more challenging. I am 68 now with a few issues, and rebounding is my new best friend. I do swim and walk ( I live in Florida so extensive walking outside is not fun most of the year), but rebounding offers the missing pieces. Also, thank you for your rebounder recommendations. I currently have a rather junky one that I purchased used, and I cannot wait to experience bouncing on an upgrade. I'm going with Leaps and Rebounds based solely on price. Blessings~

Nikki I am new to rebounding. I turned 75yrs. 2 days ago. I bought my bellicon for lymphatic drainage mainly as I have lipodema and lymphodema and just finished leg bandaging. now I have to maintain my condition so the swelling does not return plus wearing compression. But what lets me down is venous insufficiency as my legs are too tired to continue so I only do 3 mins at least 3 times a day.

Hi Colette. Update: I still have severe lymphoedema with painful knee arthritis and mega swelling which is not moving. It won't move because I have lipoedema. I didn't get treatment for 54 years so this is the best I can expect. With lymphoedema one has to exercise and rebounding for 10 mins a day is the best I can do. I can only still do the health bounce. No challenging workouts for me. My focus is I am moving by rebounding. I do 15 hour intermittent fasting. That is the best I can do and I have to accept my limitations and move forward. My treament started too late. It was neglect in this area that has led to slow progress. Hope this helps someone. Know your linitations. Movement is the key to lymphatic drainage.

Hi Tina in reply to your post. It is hard to tell if rebounding has helped my lymphoedema as I have mega swelling after suffering 54yrs. before treatment 2 years ago. Where I had leg bandaging that removed 5 kilos of fluid making it easier to walk. My legs are therefore not so heavy. I have to believe that my lymphatic drainage through rebounding is working. Perhaps this is the best I will get. I am now up to 10 mins rebounding a day in one hit and enjoying it but sadly cannot move beyond the health bounce because I have severe painful knees with arthritis. The positive is that I am moving and that is important for lymphoedema. I do 15-16 hours of intermittent fasting every day and so I feel better for it. It all helps.

@EarthOwl
@EarthOwl 6 ай бұрын
For many with light incontinence, it can help strengthen those pelvic floor muscles so there are fewer bladder leak issues. Stop liquids at least an hour before, use the restroom right before (and during if needed at first) and really squeeze those pelvic floor muscles. I think the Speax by Thinx bladder leak underwear are great!

Hi Niki. Love your videos. Im thinking it's time to buy a new trampoline. The one I have now is an inexpensive spring, it's very sturdy and came with a handlebar, it's doing the job but it feels like it's a little hard on my knees. (I do not have any knee issues) It feels a little too firm with a little bounce. (maybe its bc Im a lightweight) lol. My question is what is the difference between the Jumpsort 350 and Jumpsport 350 pro? Ty Marie
@EarthOwl
@EarthOwl Жыл бұрын
The 350Pro has 6 extra bungee cords and is a little more firm than the regular 350. If you like to keep tempo, I’d go with the 350Pro. You’ll sink a little deeper on the 350 and it will take more effort to get yourself up. If you are petite, that might not be a big issue. I’m 5’2 and 120lbs. I personally prefer the 350Pro but both are great. Both will feel significantly softer than your spring rebounder.
@Sconzette
@Sconzette Жыл бұрын
@@EarthOwl Thank you for your quick response. Im not considered petite, Im 5'4 and 110 lbs. I'll go with the Pro, it may be the better choice.

I’m thinking of getting the JumpSport 430 without the expensive stabilizer bar. I am 77, but my balance is pretty normal. If I start out slow, do you think the absence of a bar will be too difficult?
@EarthOwl
@EarthOwl 3 ай бұрын
Greetings!! If you're not going to get the bar, I'd bump up to the 550Pro which will give you a bit firmer tension and a little more stability. I really only recommend the PRO series rebounders if they're in your budget. Have you rebounded before? While you may not end up needing the handlebar, it certainly gives piece of mind. Rebounding is more challenging than it looks. You can find all the rebounder models I recommend on my website www.earthandowl.com Thanks!

Any thoughts on the Jumpsport 430? Thanks

Personally, I prefer something in the PRO series. Either the 350Pro, 370Pro or the 570Pro. I sell the Jumpsport models I like best here: www.earthandowl.com

I'm trying to decide on the 350 pro and the 550 pro is there anything I need to know other than size. Omg, my analytical brain. Ugh. Thanks
@EarthOwl
@EarthOwl 10 ай бұрын
Hmmm. Not that I can think of. Most people adapt to whichever size they buy. I like the 350Pro as it fits in my trunk if I want to transport it and just enough smaller that storage is a little easier. If you have plenty of space, then it just comes down to preference!

I would start with the form tutorial on my channel and by learning the health bounce. Begin slowly with just a few minutes.

School of life lol! My mom was an aerobics instructor and I was in high school the first time I taught a fitness class. I also have a teaching degree. My rebounding certification is from JumpSport Fitness.

If you have a knee problem I would think the Bellicon would be the best choice. The Jumpsport has a harder bounce in general.
@EarthOwl
@EarthOwl 7 ай бұрын
Depends on the cord strength of the Bellicon and the tension setting you choose on the Jumpsport. I've owned both. Also, a softer bounce can sometimes create instability when a person is new or has balance challenges. A firmer tension can ultimately be a better option. The Jumpsport is still plenty soft for the joints in my opinion.

Hi there! I've used compression sleeves off and on. I think there are lots of good brands out there. The one I've used is listed here in my Amazon shop: www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl

You mentioned that rebounding helps with bone density, but is it safe for someone who already has osteoporosis?
@EarthOwl
@EarthOwl 3 ай бұрын
You'd want to talk with your doctor to be sure. I believe there are people who do rebound carefully with osteoporosis, but certain movements like twisting are to be avoided. You could ask in my private Facebook group "Rebounding for beginners and seniors". There are nearly 35K worldwide members, so someone might be able to share their experiences.

Is it OK to rebound 5 times a week for 1 hour class each ?
@EarthOwl
@EarthOwl 2 ай бұрын
If you're brand new, that's probably too much. A lot depends on the workout intensity. I could probably do that much if some of the workouts were more gentle, but a full hour of high intensity rebounding 5 days a week would be too much for me. You have to listen to your body and decide what is the right amount. Many people do some sort of rebounding every single day, but they are mixing it up with duration and intensity.

I don’t know if I should get a bungee rebounder with any kind of a handlebar? Is it necessary to have the handlebar? Maybe I should watch some of your videos to see if you use that component
