Baxter's Harbour is a short hike from a small parking lot. It is a busy spot so you may have to park on the road. Don't block the driveways! This coast hike is on the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides. For best viewing to allow time to see the waterfall and explore the ocean floor, it is best to arrive as the tide is falling. Be aware of the tide times, to avoid being caught in incoming water. Dogs are welcome here, the beach is rocky but easy to navigate. From the beach you can check out a view of Cape Split across the water and wander through tall cliffs and rock formations. This area has recently had sea turtles stranded and suffering hypothermia. There has beeb an effort to rescue these turtles. For more information go to www.seaturtle.ca
