You guys are fearless. I'm way too scared of meeting a snake. No way could I crawl under a house and dig a hole for that sump pump. I'll do all my digging above ground.

We have a similar 2 inch pvc that discharges into our front yard. Do you think it’d be fine to bury 2 inch pvc so we can run the water underground to a pop up further from the house? I’m thinking we’d have to use a freeze relief connector too

At what height would you start thinking about putting a check valve? My sump pump lifts 6ft 8 inches to the discharge pipe. Should I put a drain back valve so after the pump cuts out, the next time it kicks on it's not fighting that weight of static water.

I'm using 2 inch pipe and I have 2 pumps in the sump plumbed with their own pipes up to the 4 inch discharge. We get a lot of water in the spring.

@@appledrains Made sure it had a good slope to the road side ditch not to cause a backup in the 4" pipe.
