Now if that had a 1x1 box wedge for kindle wood that would be sweet. Call it the kindle machine

Hi Guys! I own a 12-22 and my advice would be to sharpen your box wedge. There are many videos on how to do it. It brings the 12-22 to another level. Good luck!!

Yes we plan on doing that, thank you so much!

I’d really love to see whatever attachment is on your forks! I heat with a CL6048. I too have an LS tractor and I am awaiting my Eastonmade this May! I have been looking for a grapple but I already have forks and would really appreciate some info or even a video on that tool. Also, I have a cabin near Marion!

Once you get the rhythm figured out, you will be doing a lot more a lot faster,, and as someone said sharpen the wedge

If you had to do it over again would you have gotten the 22-28 for the additional tonnage to go through longer rounds? I’m debating which one based on the longer stroke??
@whitevillefarm6714 Жыл бұрын
Yes, if you want to split longer rounds the extra tonnage would be helpful!

I’m confused. Why wouldn’t You have all those pieces on before. Why struggle?

First off excuse my ignorance, I am ready to order either a 12-22 or a 22-28 and couple questions...I thought the 12-22 had a 5 second cycle time, that seemed more like 10+ seconds second, I'll be doing a lot of tree service wood, not full of knots but I'm sure there will be quite a bit. The price is pretty significant between the two, I'd be the only one running it so Which one might you or any one suggest. One big reason I was leaning towards the 12-22 was the speed over the 22-28 but after seeing this, Im second guessing it. Thanks

So our 12:22 has a 36-in stroke and a 5-in cylinder. The standard 12-22 has a 4-in cylinder and a 24-in stroke. I think you'll be fine with the 12:22, especially if you're going to be the only one running it. If you were going to be paying other people to do it I'd lean more towards the 22-28 just because it's a little more robust in terms of handling the abuse. Also I'll tell you speed is not going to be an issue. Even with a decreased cycle time on my machine I need at least three people to run it efficiently. Anything less than that and the machine's waiting on me not the other way around.

@@whitevillefarm6714 Thank you for the feedback. I'm used to running a Super Split with a 2 second cycle time but the type of wood Im getting from a tree service is between 16-30" and trying to lift those is about killing me and noodling them down is taking way too long.

cycle time is figured empty not splitting.

I have been addicted to watching eastonmade videos the past couple weeks.im really leaning towards 12-22.id have to say your machine is struggling more than I've noticed anyone else's machine.im concerned that that machine isn't nearly as impressive as I've been thinking.
@jandblawncare8570 Жыл бұрын
@@stephenjharnois I cancelled mine and went with a Wolferidge skid steer splitter. I cancelled for a handful of reasons but they are pretty fast, at least the one I saw in person but they were splitting straight grain (perfect wood).
