I had a bride one time come into the bakery for her wedding consultation... she asked which cake flavors were the most popular... I told her: hands down; strawberry layer and vanilla salted caramel.
She then proceeded to tell me she HATED the way caramel tasted... so I explained to her that's most likely because most caramel contains 'high fructose corn syrup'... but I make my caramel from scratch. So it's truly a pure tasting, delicious flavor and not the fake sweet stuff she's used to.
She decided to try it.
Wouldn't you know... she made her ENTIRE wedding cake flavor; Vanilla Salted Caramel. No joke.
