Hi, i would like to try this how much does this batch cover?
@giftlelegite18973 жыл бұрын
Pls can this be achieved with a hand mixer... Don't have a stand mixer yet..

What size is your mixer. I have a 6QT and this recipe did not cover the paddle completely. I have a lot of air bubbles in my icing!

Oops! Looked back at the video and saw in the writing “5 lbs” of powder sugar not 3.

I want to to this but I’m only going a small cake. How would u adjust the recipe for an 8 inch round personal cake. I really don’t need a huge amount of icing made

Beautiful. Do you have an idea what the ratio would be if we where to cut it in half . I just want to be accurate.
That amount of frosting would last me 15 years ! ! ! If I cut your amounts down by 80%, (divide by 5) I get: 1 stick butter, 2-1/2 tsp vanilla, 3 T milk, 1/2 cup shortening, and one 1 lb. box of xxx sugar. I think I'd have to use a hand-mixer for this small amount, yes? How do you feel about using the clear vanilla they sell at Michael's and Hobby Lobby stores? Does it taste as good?

Is that 3 lbs of sugar or 5? Each bag is 2 lbs you have about 2 1/2 bags there

I would like to make this but a smaller batch, will I get the same outcome if I cut all the ingredients in half?
@christinasdessertery31954 жыл бұрын
Ruth Martinez you cannot get flawless icing if the paddle attachment not fully submerged in the icing. And the only want to achieve that, is to make a batch this size
@frostitfancy4 жыл бұрын
Can you please tell me what kind of shortening you used?
@christinasdessertery31954 жыл бұрын

Looks so good. When do you add the vanilla?
@christinasdessertery31954 жыл бұрын
Accidentally cut that out! Sorry!!! Add the vanilla before you put the powdered sugar. Blend until combined, then proceed with powdered sugar.

I guess you add the vanilla after the butter and shortening are mixed?
