I've had a couple of cars with cracked housings that I just drilled a tiny hole in the lowest part of the lens to drain the water out. It saved me several hundred dollars for new lights and was easier than removing the headlights.

That's the trick I use. You can still charge for the repair and just use a rubber grommet so it can be done again.

In the lowest part of the lens or the lamp? I've got water but it sits below the lens so you only see the condensation from the front but you can see the water when you remove the bulb.

I Russia guys with oldschool cars and trucks are poring a small amount of brake fluid inside headlightlights it absorbs moisture, so blinker fluid is kinda real deal.

@@bassam_salim ofcourse there is, but not in Soviet Russia :) Headlights on old russian cars are robust as tanks and somehow can whitstand such aggresive fluid as dot 4, also it helped against corrosion of inner components of light like reflectors. I saw this hack for few times somewhere and were quite surprised that it was brake fluid :) The coolest way was to use drum brake fluid cause it was red colored and looked even cooler in the dark.

I fond my blinker fluid lasts the lifetime of the car unless the headlight assembly takes damage. They're building cars so cheap these days that I find more frequent need to change exhaust bearings, and/or piston springs for snappier con rod support. Done exhaust twice and springs once in the last 3 years. Haven't had to change blinker fluid in 8.

Ok, this may sound silly. Whenever I've had condensation in a head or rear lamp, I've just removed it from the vehicle with plug/socket/lamps attached. Heated a fan-forced oven to 70 degrees C, removed each plug/socket/lamps from the main head or rear lamp assembly. Put on a clean tray and bake it all for an hour or so, or to your liking. When reassembling I've always put a little grease on both sides the seals, just to help prevent the ingress of moisture or dust. It's always worked for me. But hey, each to their own.

If you have those plastic Fender Linings missing that also is a cause of condensation up into your headlight so be aware of that problem because that's the problem I've always had my left one was missing in my left headlight was the only one that had condensation but now I'm missing the right one and now both lights are having condensation

Nice video. I’m having condensation issues on my drivers side. I resealed the top of the headlamp assembly with clear silicone. Im also changing the cap cover. I found the air vents, but to clean them out I would have to remove the headlight as there is no room to manoeuvre. However this would also require taking off the plastic bumper cover which is a lot more than I bargained for. However my lost resort would be to drill holes in the rear housing.. I did not think that headlight moisture could be so complex...

Hey! Glad to see you post content. I'm actually planning to repair our new used SUV. Got a 2007 Yukon Denali with a ton of moisture when it rains. I looked into it on KZfaq and only found people cooking the lenses in an oven and replacing the butol resin seal stuff. That or silicone around it.. This vent information will be taken into account but I also now plan to black out the inside of the headlight assembly that are not reflective so will reseal anyway. I suppose a test I will do is remove the bulbs check seals and put water in the assembly to see if it drips out the lens seal. Than you for the additional information.

I bought aftermarket headlights for my ‘04 Avalon. One lense is crystal clear. The other has condensation which forms. There are vents built into the housing but they have caps on them. Sounds a bit contradictory to me. Why would you cap off the vents? Should I just go ahead and remove the caps and see what happens?
