(Easy Guide) How to Root & Unlock Bootloader for Oneplus 6 / 6t (Android OOS-10.3.8)- 2021 Tutorial

This week, I thought I would share with you guys some easy steps you can follow to root and unlock the bootloader of any oneplus 6 and 6t phone. I've broken down the steps to try and make this tutorial as in-depth and simple as possible.
I hope this helps you guys root your phones, and answer any questions about unlocking your oneplus 6 / 6t. I have also made sure to cover how to setup adb for your android phones.
NOTE: If you have never rooted before, keep in mind with any rooting process there is a chance of bricking your phone. Here is an extensive guide to help you guys to unbrick the Oneplus 6 & 6T (hopefully you wont need it) - www.thecustomd...

Great news and great video! Quick question; what handheld emulates Dreamcast, Saturn and N64 the smoothest? I've already got a VITA and DS Lite capable of handling all my other portable emulation needs, I just need those more tricky consoles covered now. Retroid Pocket seemed to be a good choice but your review of the horrible facebuttons put me off.

Hey! Great video I've run into an issue here though, my OP6 runs the latest Oxygen OS (Android 11) and I tried to 'fastboot boot' into the latest (TWRP 3.6 11_0) for Enchilada, but I keep getting stuck onto the TWRP's splash screen. Am I going somewhere wrong here? Is there some issue with the latest twrp image for enchilada? I also tried using the twrp3.5_9_0 img file for fastbooting into recovery but that just transitions me onto the crashdump mode :(

@@gregoryhare9879 Hey, did you guys find something out about this? my op7t is stuck at the same spot I guess or even one step before that. It says Fastboot Mode for 30 minutes now I guess. The phone storage was pretty empty so I don't know what would take that long.

@@DisregardCivil i tink i found the solution it seem we need an unlock code from the page of t-mobile and geting that we could insert that code after the comand: fastboot flashing unlock insert-code-here. is the same for some motorola mobiles

I appreciate your guide and effort, they both are really exceptional. And might I make a constructive suggestion to focus more on English pronunciation and annunciation and not the accent. Sounds like you've picked up a mix of Yank, Kiwi and Britt and over-emphasizing some accent elements of each. For Americans in professional circles, I suspect they would be more accepting of English pronounced properly well with an Indian English accent. Indians being largely better educated than Americans we tend to respect and expect Indians to be better educated than we are. Plus, I think most Americans enjoy hearing Indian-English accents, and love hearting English with an Indian Accent spoken better than American English.

I did this hoping it would fix an issue that I have with my oneplus 6. The wifi no longer turns on and it constantly reboots. Same problem occurs. I think it could be hardware issue or something. I'm going to try to install a custom rom. Perhaps that will work. But anyways it was successful, thank you

Unlocking the bootloader would be the same, just make sure to flash a compatible TWRP recovery & magisk😊👍🏽

As long as your phone can enter fastboot mode you can unbrick it by flashing a stock image. Use the guide I have linked in the video description for this, it should give you step by step instructions 👍🏽

Thanks alot 🥰👍🏽, I'm glad you like the wallpapers. Sadly, no you can not get them on AOD. Rooting always comes with a risk of bricking, (soft bricking is recoverable, hard bricking is a much more of a major issue). I would say if your looking for a feature that is only available via rooting and there is no other way around it then consider rooting. However, make sure to check out some "unbricking guides" just in case 😅👍🏽

You could try flashing it directly from ADB, follow the steps from this tutorial (using the 6/6t files instead) -kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLSAmLp-yp_QgHk.html

If you are unable to boot into os, follow the unbrick steps I have linked in the description. After which double check TWRP recovery file you used.

Try flashing another suitable version of TWRP (make sure it is for you phone model). If you can't boot into your phone, follow the unbrick guide I have linked in the description

This could be the case, because Oneplus push out updates quite regularly it some times takes abit longer for magisk and TWRP to be made compatible. I have linked an unbrick guide in the description for everyone 👍🏽

To unroot, within magisk use the uninstall magisk/remove root option. This will remove root from your phone, however your bootloader will remain unlocked, as that is a separate thing.

@@wp-wisdom okay so basically what I would recommend is get back to oos9 and then do what the video says, or it will not work, oos11 and twrp don't work well together for some reason, hopefully it's fixed soon, but yeah go back to oos9 AND DOWNLOAD THE 3.3.1 VERSION OF TWRP NOTHING NEWER OR IT WON'T WORK
