This is the best stretchy bind off I've ever seen. It's nice and stretchy but doesn't flair out. I love it! It's my go-to bind off. Thank you for the demo!

I just used this technique today! It works very well! And it is very simple to do.And to me, the finished edge looks neater than a standard bindoff.

I knitted a pair of leg warmers two-at-a-time and I really wanted a nice and neat bind off. I don't like binding of with a tapestry needle so I only watched BOs with knitting needles. This bind off is awesome. It is really stretchy and it doesn't flare. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I will use this BO for all my ribbed bind offs.

When I first watched this video, I didn't notice that the direction of the yo depends on the next stitch presented. 🤔 So, yo counter-clockwise before a purl st; yo clockwise before a knit st. Practice on a swatch until you get the hang of it. I've been using it to bind off the bottom ribbing on top-down sweaters.

I was thinking it is possible to bring both loops over at the same time? I cannot see how it would be different, right? If not please correct me. Will try this for my first knitted sock
@TuulaMaaria
@TuulaMaaria Жыл бұрын
Yes, if you can do that so that the two stitches don't create a lump. I would find that much harder to do, it is not easy to get the needle under the yarnover and the stitch at the same time. Much easier separately, to ensure it becomes stretchy. But yes, as long as the two stitches don't go too close together, the result is the same.
@Zendemic42
@Zendemic42 Жыл бұрын
@@TuulaMaaria I tried it, and as you say it is very difficult to get underneath both! But I managed a couple of times... So now I understand why to take one at a time, it makes sense!
